in all fairness, you bring up good points man, but we all play with what we are comfortable with. More power to you, you're free to DJ however you wish... I'm no rookie, and I am not one to boast about my accomplishment or where I've been or what I do, so I won't... a quick google search of my name should tell you that. I think I know a thing or two about all of this ;-) no need for cursing or name calling, best of luck to you in your adventures

you're calling someone else an idiot, yet you're the one direction people to illegally download this artist's hard work? It's morons like you who are ruining the music industry one link at a time.

When you were speaking about calling Ableton to re-map the controls to where you can just flip between waveforms, I could not see what exactly it was that you were mapping in ableton, you said "just select "that" but I could not see your finger. For me this is one of the only issues as well with the APC, once u start playing past the first track u have to keep maunually selecting the track with the mouse to show the waveform on the screen. So what control did u re-map to toggle waveforms? thx!

yes you can assign kills to each channel, I use kills a lot as well. I have assigned the "record arm" buttons to work as kill switches, they are located directly above each channel volume slider, so it makes it very easy to hit 2 kills at once for a switch-up. This thing is an amazing piece of equipment!

There is also one other very exciting way you can use Mixed in Key, which can really change the entire dynamic. You can actually jump up 7 or down 7 anywhere on the scale, thus moving up or down one semi-tone. for instance, moving from 1A to 8A moves you from Aflat minor to A minor... this creates a huge uplifting feeling, and remains completely in key. If you do so in the opposite direction going from 1A to 6A it will have a looming effect, perfect for taking energy level down or to end a nite!

Even with many digital tracks these days, you still usually want to drop a marker at least once every 16 bars. There are many variations in recordings so in order to be sure that your tracks are warped 100% on point, it's important to tighten your warp as much as possible. With some loop-based techno (such as stuff by Radio Slave) you can drop one one 1.1.1 and then one on the final beat and you may be ok.

BUY IT. wtf.

It is VERY rare that this quick type of warp is going to do the trick.
This will generally keep the first 16 in time, but the further down the track you go, the further the beat markers will get from the actual beats.
Your best bet, is to make sure every 16th beat marker is lined up, all the way down to the end of the track. This will insure that your mixing is tight throughout.
Once used to the warping process, it usually won't take more than 30 seconds to 1 minute to warp any track.

Just because some people have bad experiences with a certain drug, does not mean that people all across the world should stop taking that drug. If you find one rotten apple laying under an apple tree, does that means every apple on the tree is rotten too?

ableton has plenty of built in sounds and loops that you can work with, ive only been using it for 5 days and ive already got the hang of it. just watch as many tutorials as possible, it will all come together! once you learn the BASICS, like how to make a beat, sequence, warp, and loop..youll be ready for more advanced stuff. good luck to you!

i am having the same problem with the clipping as well. the sounds sound great within massive, but once i start running them through ableton to record, things get choppy. luckily this only happens with the more complex sounds, the rest run fine. awesome synth!

Good luck, you will be fine. You just took the sub too soon, and it sent you into precipitated withdrawals. The general rule of thumb is to wait around 72 hours after the last dose of methadone, because of the long half-life. So within the next few days you should feel better each day...don't give up on the sub, it works wonders!

The thing that set tecmo apart from ALL other sports games of the time was the battery backup that allowed you to save your season and keep realtime statistics. Thats what pre-90's sports games lacked, and once tecmo came out with this game I remember I was itching to throw it in the system!!! Ahh, the days..my friends and I used to play this ALL DAY during bball season, and tecmo super bowl during football season

the Vestax doesnt have an automatic sync button, it is the program (Traktor) that syncs the BPMs. However, no program is 100% accurate, so most of the time you still need to make a +/- .2 or .3 adjustment on the pitch in order to get tracks to stick together. it still saves ALOT of time and allows more concentration on creative mixing.
I am definitely on the hunt to buy this Vestax, its the best midi control unit I've found so far in my searching. Thanks for the demo

Ok, it's becoming more and more apparent that YouTube must RANDOMLY pick the videos that they "Feature". When I see a featured video, I kind of expect it to at least be worth watching, or at least make some kind of sense. Ehhh..whatever.
