Limitations of Science TheFallib... - 104 views - 1 week ago
Science can't answer every question. However, just because science can't answer those questions doesn't mean that answers derived by other means are reliable or correct.

Evolution Explained: Response to Octamed Challenge TheFallib... - 1,943 views - 2 years ago
Explanation of evolution for Octamed.
Pro-evolution, of course. Just realized I posted a response to his video 2 months ago ... so I must have been aware of it at one time.

Just caught a mistake in the last bullet at t=2:20, namely that a population will increase without bound IF THERE IS NO PRESSURE ON IT.

Why Evolution is Important TheFallib... - 382 views - 2 years ago
To solve a problem, you have to understand it. We don't know what problems our kids' generation will face, but they'll have to understand the problem-space clearly - and that means they need to know what evolution is and how it works. It's that simple. Creationist apologists could profit from that example.

This is not an explanation of exponents so much as a review of what I expect the student should already have been taught.

Internship Experience: Sorting Competition with the Boss TheFallib... - 70 views - 2 months ago
I fix a sorting problem, but my boss and I end up in a little bit of a competition which he eventually wins. (Times in the video are approximate.)
Original program used "bubble sort"
I wrote a binary tree sort.
He wrote (I think) a quick sort.
I modified my binary tree sort to randomize the indices before sorting.
He wrote (I think) a merge sort and won, by reducing the time to sort the database from about 29 hours to about half an hour.

Hi. I just saw your video & found your site via Concordance's. I gave it a "pretty cool", because I'm a fan of science and especially evolution, but not an "awesome" because, well, you need slides or video and/or music and stuff. But I'm sure you know that.
Oh and btw, you're really being too patient with this USN#### character. Why waste your valuable time? Keep up your good work. I look forward to seeing more! Peace.

You have no problem with homosexuals so long as they don't have the same rights that you take for granted. Your arguments against homosexuality are stupid. Few, if any, atheists care about what you believe and none has the capacity to force you to disbelieve. That's just made up stuff. Religionists often portray themselves as the persecuted when they are the persecutors.

I do not claim to be highly educated. In fact, I am undereducated. But I am not mis-educated and I am not poorly educated. I am married (to a woman) and have two children. That is irrelevant to the discussion. Yes, I am fat. Yes, it will probably have some adverse effect on my health. Yes, my life is quite happy. I work at a dream job where I get to solve important problems, have two brilliant and thoughtful children who worship me, a wife who loves me, and friends who respect me and whom I respect. None of this is relevant to your grotesque and irrational hatred for homosexuals.
USN1985 (6 days ago)
P.S.-You claim to be highly educated and with a deep understanding of the formation of the universe. However, your also overweight and probably close to death due to your undeniable health problems. Has your life been happy? Sad really. I doubt you ever even had a wife. Or wait, no, I bet you have a life partner. Is it the AmazingAtheist. You two would make such a delightful couple.
USN1985 (6 days ago)
The capacity of a child? Really? That's great to know. Next I suppose you can tell me how tall I am and where I live. Hateful? Really? What do you call a guy who has a disdain for religion and attempts to force other to quit believing in what they believe in when he can't even provide answers himself? That's called oppression and it is hateful. So therefore it is YOU not me that is hateful here. And as I said before, I don't care if someone is gay as long as they do not flaunt it infront of me (i.e. parades) or expect to be given the same marriage privileges as heterosexual couples.
TheFallibleFiend (6 days ago)
You are a poorly educated, buffoon with the intellectual capacity of a child. And like many poorly educated buffoons, you are hateful. Your diatribe against homosexuality is irrational, because logic is a mystery to you. Regardless of how many people agree with you, you are an idiot.
USN1985 (6 days ago)
So I'm a child, huh? Well then, I suppose that would make you a middle aged overweight moron who thinks that we randomly exist in this accidental universe.
