How To: Yogg-Saron (Normal)

Alrighty, uploading a strat of Yogg 10-man for 2 reasons: First 25man Yogg is still aways away for my guild, we only raid 25man content 9 hours a week and not sure if were going to get to Yogg any time soon (currently on vezax). and second: with 3.2 fast approaching I wanted to fraps SOME form of this encounter just because it is pretty damn epic lolz.
Alrighty: 10man yogg is easy mode now, this is from our first 10man kill and we got him down on the 2nd attempt after the nerfs. Phase 1 (the only difficult part imo) was nerfed to hell and the other phases are easy enough to learn after you've seen them once or twice. But anyhoo, onto the strat!
Phase 1: Guilds like to do this a few different ways, like everyone standing in the doorway and letting the adds come to you ( I personally HATE this strat with a passion) or do it the way we do in this video which is grow some balls, get your ass out there with the clouds and do NOT FUCKING TOUCH THEM! Seriously if you can't dodge some slow moving clouds than you really shouldn't be playing this game anyway. But enough bitching: Phase 1 has Sara floating in the center of the room, she can not be damaged directly. Instead you must damage her by killing her adds and having them blow up on her. The faceless adds spawn about every 15 seconds or so from one of the 5ish floating clouds in the room. If anyone in the raid hits a cloud an extra will spawn. So if everyone runs around and doesn't pay attention to what their doing, it's very easy to get overrun with adds.
Have your MT stand near Sara and taunt any adds that spawn to the center, all DPS burn it down so that it will blow up on Sara dealing around 9% to her. Melee should be sure to back out so they are not struck. If your killing them faster than they are spawning you can have the tank run through a cloud and spawn an extra to speed things along, but most guilds should be fine just DPSing them as they spawn. The adds also cast an AoE that should be interupted.
Phase 2: First off everyone /kiss sara so they can get their damn achievment. Once that important bit of business is delt with just start DPSing tentacles while you wait for portals to spawn. Ranged burn down the Big ones and Melee on the little ones. The big ones hit fairly hard so nobody should be in melee range of them, however he will channel a raid wide debuff that needs to be interupted, just have the MT do it since there is really nothing else for him to do during this phase. Be sure and get players out of constricter tentacles ASAP as well.
Be mindful of your sanity during this phase. He will cast a fear and "psychosis" on a random raid member that decreases your sanity by 3 and 12%. He will also brain link 2 players throughout this phase that will cause them to take 3k damage and lose 2% sanity every second if they are not within 20 yards of each other. Just stay close enough to where the tether connecting you is green and not red (RED = DEAD!) If you get low on sanity hit up one of freya's sanity wells in the corners.
Portals: Every 90 seconds 4 portals will spawn around Yoggy. Send about 3 dps and a healer into the portals. You'll get ported to one of three visions. Basically just run around and hit every NPC you can find, soon as they are hit with an attack they will turn into a tentacle. Once all of them are dead the near-by brain chamber will open up. Head in and DPS the brain, then GTFO before your "induce madness" debuff wheres off. If you do not get out in time you will be permanantly mind controlled and the raid will be forced to kill you. DO NOT BATTLE REZ players that are killed because of the MC, they will rez STILL MCed and you will just have to kill them all over again. Once you get Yogg's brain to 30% phase 3 will start.
Phase 3: All ranged on Yogg, all melee on the adds. "Immortal Guardians" will spawn bout every 15 seconds during this phase. The more health they have, the harder they hit. Just have your MT constantly grabbing them while melee nukes em down ASAP. He will also cast "lunatic gaze" which reduces everyone's sanity by 4% if they are FACING HIM. Just everybody turn their back when he casts the big purple lightning shit and you'll be fine. Sanity wells are still there if needed.
So yea this phase is really easy, once you get here you pretty much won if you have a competent tank. Just keep nuking adds and nuking the boss and he'll be dead in no time.
