Yeah, it noticed the same effect in your other videos. Early Schwerin High Seas Fleet badges, like yours, are the Cadillacs of HSF badges. Your lucky to have this one:)

Bock was the designer of the badge......... maybe it's just the video, but your badge looks pretty narrow

My guess is it was probably worn it a prisoner of war camp..... and got denazified there.... I've heard stories of soldiers doing that sort of thing .

I should also say that some of what you have is made out of zinc, and if zinc isn't stored in a dry environment it will rot. and when it starts you can't reverse it.... so protect and take care of it. Its a great collection and you should be proud of it

It also has the wrong style numbers used for the date..... this badge is pure junk

I posted the question and did a search for Friedrich Keller pilot badges, and I have to say that It doesn't look good for your badge being authentic , like I thought.... I found out that Keller probably only produced tinnies, and is name has been put on fake badges. Saw another Pilot badge that l...

I don't know where you found that out, or who told you, but in all my years of collecting I've never heard that name associated to any TR badge. But I will post the question on the WAF to find out for myself if they were in fact a manufacturer.

Since the Graf Spee was sunk in 1939, what you have is probably a bell that was made as a souvenir, to commemorate the ship........ thats if its real.

Well then chances are they're good, but there were makers producing badges after the war to fulfill the desire G.I's had to bring German medals back home. To makers to be carful of are Rudolf Souval ( R.S ) and Steinhauer & Luck ( S&L ) sometimes these badges are marked and sometimes they're not...

It's not German its American, it's part of a marksmanship badge. There would be a rectangular piece that would be suspended by the to rings to signify the class. Do a quick search, of some sites, and you'll see other examples

I don't know if you found out yet or not... and I just saw this...... but anything with a BM prefix is fake.

actually the ss collar tabs ( if real) are worth about double what the eagles are worth, and again if real and in good condition, ss cuff titles are worth at the low end close to a thousand , and up.
