20 Second Movie Review - 300 Spoofsman... - 366 views - 1 week ago
A while ago, I finally got a chance to see the popular graphic move 300. And I didn't like it. But instead of professionally going over all of the aspects of 300 that I was not fond of, like a normal critic would, I decided to review the movie 300 in twenty seconds, like the crazy maniac I am. The result? A video featuring a maniac talking about 300 for twenty seconds.

I would like to thank Mr. Black from http://www.youtube.com/mrblack smoviereviews for not only helping to promote small channels like mine, but also for inspiring me to do this awesome series of skits.

Synopsis from Rotten Tomatoes:

Based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, 300 takes over the screen like an invading horde. With all the gushing blood of a horror movie and the scope of a classic epic, the second film from Zack Snyder is an impressive visual spectacle. Gerard Butler plays Leonidas, the king of ancient Sparta. The city is famous for its warrior philosophy, and Leonidas won't kneel to the demands of Persia's King Xerxes. Instead, Leonidas leads his 300-strong army against Xerxes's army of millions.

NOTE: Make sure that you stay for the credits of this video, as I put in a scene in the middle of the credits and a deleted scene afterwards! And, as always, make sure that you are watching the video in high quality.

An Announcement from Ben: War Heroes Spoofsman... - 366 views - 2 months ago
After a 5-month hiatus, Ben is back with a brand new Spoofsmanship video. This time, he announce the upcoming release of his first major YouTube movie "War Heroes".

War Heroes is a riveting and exciting tale based on an untrue story. It takes a look into the lives of three clumsy and stupid weirdoes who are drafted into the military against their will. These three men include a secret service agent, an actor, and a gigolo, who are taken to a remote army base and given their secret mission. The assignment is to stop Osama bin Ladens granddaughter, Lucretia, from taking over the Orange Pudding Factory, because orange pudding is the food that is fed to all the American soldiers at war. Now on the case, the men set out on their epic journey, only to realize that being in the military is not easy, and being a war hero takes a great amount of dignity, strength, and perseverance.

Ben also discusses the recent swine flu outbreak, as well as the trailer for his upcoming movie. Also talked about are the movie's other stars - Zak, Austin, and Tia.

"Santa Says Ho" - Parody of "Low" by Flo Rida (feat. T-Pain)

Yo, yo, yo! This is my brand-new rap song! In this music video, critically-acclaimed hip-hop artist B. Niddy (played by me, Ben N.) sings a catchy tune about everyone's favorite Christmas icon, Santa Claus, while parodying Flo Rida's hit song "Low" at the same time! Embrace the Christmas spirit while you watch Santa (also played by me) dance, eat your chocolate chip cookies, drink your skim milk, hump the North Pole, and do a bunch of other crazy things as well. Hooray!

NOTE: Yes, I'm well aware that Christmas was almost a month ago. I tried my best to get this video out before Christmas, but because I was bogged down by schoolwork and a very busy Christmas break, I did not get the chance to finish the movie until now. I also didn't want to hold the video back until next Christmas, because by then, the song "Low" may be too old for anyone to remember! So, rather than sit and complain about the delayed release, please just enjoy my belated Christmas gift for all that it's worth. On a positive note, there's no three-minute long intro about how bad a singer I am! Yippie!

DOUBLE NOTE: Remember to watch this video in HIGH QUALITY. It looks MUCH better that way. I tried to make it a widescreen video as well, but it would not upload to YouTube that way. So, for now, we will just have to suffice with the annoying black bars on the sides. Sorry.

"Fast Food" - Parody of "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay Spoofsman... - 18,019 views - 9 months ago
"Fast Food" - Parody of "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay

In this amazingly funny, but poorly sung, parody of the song "Viva La Vida," Coldplay's biggest hit song, song parodist Ben N. successfully replicates the same satirical success he achieved with his first parody, "Smell Like Shit" - Parody of "Bet on It" from High School Musical 2. This time around, though, the song has its own custom music video, directed by Ben himself. In it, Ben sings about his love for fast food, while wearing a fat suit and dealing with an annoying worker at the drive-thru.

NOTE: Some people have been complaining that my introduction to this video is not really that great and that they just want to see the music video part. I would much rather you guys see the video in its entirety, but if you hate the opening THAT much, you can skip to the 4:00 mark of the video.

Lyrics to "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay

I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing:
"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt, and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing

Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
Once you know there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world
(Ohhh)

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in.
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People could not believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries Wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringingRoman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
(Ohhhhh Ohhh Ohhh)

Hear Jerusalem bells are ringings
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
I know Saint Peter will call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Oooooh Oooooh Oooooh
http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyri cs/c/coldplay/viva_la_vida.htm l

Lyrics to "Fast Food" - Parody of "Viva La Vida" by Coldplay

(Opening music)

I eat a lot of food.
I eat whenever I'm in the mood.
Can't buy expensive food 'cause I am broke.
Fast food is the way to go.

(Instrumental music)

I'm getting really fat.
Cellulite on my widening ass.
Burgers, fries, and cold ice cream.
Dairy Queen is the best, and so's Burger King.

But don't forget about Wendy's.
I'm also thinking Arby's.
And have a craving for White Castles, man!
Extra packets of salt, and a doggy bag.

I hear that Taco Bells are ringing.
Ronald McDonald keeps me eating.
KFC has a combo deal.
Panda Express for a foreign meal.
Subway only works for Jared.
And you know I will never, never be a skinny dude,
Because I won't stop eating food.

(Instrumental music)

I eat like a wild fox,
When I go to Jack in the Box.
Drive-thru window workers are so dumb.
They just always mess my order up.
Patient customers wait.
You can eat great even late.
Want a salad with some seasoning?
Oh who would want to be that healthy?

I hear that Taco Bells are ringing.
Ronald McDonald keeps me eating.
Pizza Hut has a combo deal.
Get five breadsticks with every meal.
Fast food won't keep hunger sustained.
I know Dave Thomas will call my name.
I'm not a scrawny dude,
Because I can't stop eating food.

(Various sounds from fast food commercials...)

I hear that Taco Bells are ringing.
Ronald McDonald keeps me eating.
Krispy Kreme has a 50's feel.
And Dunkin' Donuts is the bomb for real.
With fast food you cannot complain.
I know Hamburglar will call my name.
I'm not a skinny dude,
Because I won't stop eating food.

(Oooooh... oooooh...)

20 Second Movie Review - Batman Begins Spoofsman... - 4,797 views - 11 months ago
In honor of the best movie of the year so far, The Dark Knight, I decided to make a couple videos about Batman. This is the first video I have made - a 20 second movie review of Batman Begins, the predecessor to The Dark Knight.

Batman Begins stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman and was directed by Christopher Nolan. The film retells the origin story of how billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne became the Caped Crusader and saved his hometown of Gotham City. Instead of continuing from the previous Batman movie, Batman and Robin, starring George Clooney, Batman Begins completely rebooted the Batman franchise and shocked audiences everywhere with its dark storyline and enthralling overtones. Critically and financially successful, Batman Begins led to a sequel -- The Dark Knight.

The Dark Knight stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Morgan Freeman and was directed again by Christopher Nolan. This time, Batman must go up against his biggest foe yet, the Joker, marvelously played by the late actor Heath Ledger. The Joker is a profoundly insane character who yearns to prove the unsteadiness of the society around him. In a while, I will do a 20 second movie review of The Dark Knight as well, so stay tuned for that.

In this video, I wanted to do a movie review on the movie Batman Begins in anticipation for the biggest movie of the summer, The Dark Knight. But instead of professionally going over all the positive and negative aspects of Batman Begins, like a normal critic would, I decided to zanily review the movie Batman Begins in twenty seconds like a crazy freak. The result? A very funny movie-related video.

NOTE: Make sure that you stay for the credits of this video. I put in an after-credits scene!

ANOTHER NOTE: Make sure you watch this video in high quality. It looks MUCH better that way!

After the success of my video entry to mrblacksmoviereviews to be in Mr. Black's compilation video, I decided to create a series of videos in which I review movies in twenty seconds. I would like to thank Mr. Black for not only helping to promote small channels like mine, but also for inspiring me to do this awesome series of skits.

I'm Going to California! Spoofsman... - 2,362 views - 11 months ago
Greetings fellow YouTube-ers. Ben here. I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be vacationing in California from July 23, 2008 to July 27, 2008. I'm very excited. It's my first time to California.

I live near Chicago, so me, my little sister, mom, grandma, and grandpa will depart from Chicago by airplane. George W. Bush and his insanely high gas prices won't stop us from flying!

Due to my love for movies, I will definitely be making some stops in Hollywood! I will stay at a nice hotel and also be visiting the following places:

The Warner Bros. VIP Studio Tour

Los Angeles, in the form of a 5½ hour tour.

Disneyland

Santa Monica Pier

and much more!!

While I'm on vacation, I will not have Internet access. Therefore, I will not be able to respond to comments and messages, invite new YouTube friends, or post new videos. But don't worry! While I'm on the plane to and from California, I will be busy penning down new ideas and scripts for future videos.

I would also like to take this time to say thank you to all who have subscribed to Spoofsmanship. And if you haven't subscribed to Spoofsmanship, what in the name of kangaroos are you waiting for?!?

Once I come back from vacation, be on the look out for new videos. Like new 20 Second Movie Reviews, TWO new song parodies, and a vlog about how my California trip went!

Hooray for awesomeness!

This video was intentionally made in black and white and without sound. It is both a video announcing my vacation plans and a tribute to the silent films of the early 1900s. The song accompanying this video is "The Entertainer" by Scott Joplin.

NOTE: Make sure you watch this video in high quality. It looks MUCH better that way!

But instead of professionally going over all the positive and negative aspects of Ratatouille, like a normal critic would, I decided to zanily review the movie Ratatouille in twenty seconds like a crazy freak. The result? Another very funny movie-related video.

NOTE: Make sure that you stay for the credits of this video. I put in a little surprise scene!

Hi! Welcome to Spoofsmanship. Home to hilarious song parodies, sensational 20 Second Movie Reviews, and awesome-tastic comedy sketches, Spoofsmanship will blow your mind! Starring Ben Nichols, the relatively normal, yet slightly deranged, genius dude in desperate need of a haircut, who creates, directs, produces, writes, and edits all of the videos on Spoofsmanship.

The word "Spoofsmanship" is a word that I made up that is related to words such as "craftsmanship" or "workmanship". It means "the process of spoofing of parodying something".
