I just watched your alphabet song video and I loved it.
My third grade teacher taught my class a little sign language when ever we took a break from the curriculum but it faded over the last 11 years.
Your song was an amazing refresher course and I've been inspired to try to learn sign language fluently.
I went to your page on MindBites. I saw the lesson you have for basic words and I will start there. Do you have any recommendations as to where I can find more advanced videos as I get better?

meredegaby, we made up Fireese's name, it is a combination of 'fire' and 'ice', a balance of two things. We wanted to spell it phonetically and also wanted to include Reese in case she wanted to go with something more common :-)

emptythecup, I have so many videos because I am creating a dictionary for my website, I didn't want to include two words in a video because I wanted parents to be easily be able to find the words on my site: http://www.babysignlanguagedictionary-mysmarthands.com

smilesrewarded, too true about giving new meaning to sign language interpretation :-) I want parents to see that babies make sign approximations just like when they start talking, they don't say the words perfectly. It's the same with signing, they don't sign things perfectly but they try!

The need to "interpret" her signs by you repeating them both with sign and words sure is cute. Does give a new meaning to sign language interpretation.

Hi, firstly I just want to say you are a great mum! Keep up the good work. Just one minor criticism: you have too many videos lol. Some videos could of been combined eg yes/no, on/off, brother/sister, open/close, old/new. I'm often watching and wondering what the sign is for the opposite word.
