I suppose we all have many good stories about friendship but I want to share one that has special meaning for me.

SInce I posted this video last night (11/14/08), my friend told me that her father, who has cancer throughout his body, was taken to Hospice. He's dying. If you pray, please pray for Cheryl B. and for her family. She really deserves your prayers and good wishes.


UPDATE: On November 18th, my friend's father passed away. Thanks to everyone for your prayers on her behalf.

Two days left until the Presidential elections and I'm EXCITED. Hear Jo(an) the Industrial Hygienist (another in a long list of (Insert First Name) of (insert occupation) speak about who she is voting for and why it matters.

Despite what some Republicans have said....
(1) Election day is November 4th - for everyone who isn't voting by absentee ballot.
(2) College students MAY vote where they go to school, or at home, but not in both locations.
(3) Police will NOT be staking out the polling booths looking to make easy arrests.
(4) If you are a first time voter, or voting in a new precinct, or haven't voted for a while bring a picture ID. Otherwise, you don't need one.

Happy 2009!!

Midway through 2008 I decided to become active in the political process, beyond the usual activities of voting and talking about the issues to friends. I volunteered for my candidate, made contributions and made many videos on the salient topics. Some have since been removed when the topic ceased to be current.

It has been a very exciting experience. I've made a few mistakes and learned a lot in the process, for which I'm very grateful. I've also developed a resiliency to hateful comments, because I realize that they aren't so much born of truth as they are of fear or of habit. I'm also grateful to that.

My intent is to explore the different types of videos, as there are a lot of things I have to learn. So, expect blogs, political or philosophical views, comedy, whatever.

Anytime. I'm still looking for the vetting process for presidential candidates. I did find out that ICE verifies the citizenship of ALL political candidates at a national level, and I've heard the NSA checked Obama's citizenship for one of the committees he served on in the Sanate (I got that from TheSexyPatriot, haven't verified it myself). Feel free to have a look at my other Channel, where I MYSELF comment on events or issues that catch my interest.
