Inspired by "36 Ghosts IV" by Nine Inch Nails.

The thing that struck me most about the "Ghosts" album was how narrative-driven it was; almost every track seemed to have a clear and specific dramatic structure -- like they were little short stories unto themselves. Lots of songs spawned lots of ideas, but this track in particular inspired several distinct images that led to this story.
