SimplexTech isn't an "asshole, a dick, or mean" etc. It's sad that I'm the only one who seems to understand why he needs to be assertive when his target audience has become a bunch of autistic young kids trying to show off to each other with their own little mockup fire alarms installed in their closets and bedrooms. Tornado siren nuts, school bus lovers, police wackers/wannabes and railroad foamers fall into pretty much the same category. And then they wonder why the professionals in the trade are "assholes, dicks, and mean".

When you turn your alarms off, do the strobes turn off automatically? Because most of the dorms here, including mine, are FCS, and the stupid strobes continue to flash for 30min after the initial alarm is turned off (which is not pleasant when theres and alarm right outside your door and above the tv screen in the tv room). It's the most recently renoated dorm so there are a ton of alarms, but the strobes are like blinding, I wouldn't be surprised if someone had a seizure. I'm asking because we had the same type of alarm at my high school library but it was a simplex alarm, and I'm pretty sure the strobes turned off when the system was reset.
