Their drummer doesn't suck. When we were on tour with them, David nailed it EVERY single night.
I even asked him about this particular video and he told me he was having serious problems with his triggers. Trust me, he can play that shit pretty well live.

We were on tour with them, the drummer really is that talented, he does not play heel toe, he plays regular heel up and uses Iron Cobra pedals. He uses triggers, just like everyone else who wants their bassdrums heard at those speeds.

One of the two triggers is used as a replacement, so if the trigger being used fails, he can just plug the cable into the other trigger and he's ready to go again.
