Healthcare Remix: Hip-Hop Takes on the Health Care Crisis SEIU - 92 views - 2 days ago
The hip-hop "Healthcare Remix" panel discussion at SEIU's headquarters in Washington, DC shed a bright light on the need for healthcare reform that does more than just expand insurance coverage--and why it is imperative that every community has a voice at the decision-making table.

The event was held in honor of J Dilla, an influential hip-hop MC and producer whose rising star was cut short by complications stemming from his battle with Lupus. Panelists in the discussion included Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest--who spoke about his healthcare troubles with diabetes and kidney failure--and Maureen Yancey (the mother of J Dilla), who talked about the six-digit medical bills trying to get life-saving care for her son Dilla ended up amassing after he lost his insurance coverage.

Copied from SEIU's website:

"increasing the quality of care while decreasing costs and eliminating waste..."

This is one of Obama the traitor's talking points. Translated out of double speak it means murdering the frail elderly and REDUCING care. To eliminate waste, we would eliminate the "insurance" companies capacity to micromanipulate care and medical outcomes. Insurance companies should be eliminated entirely as a healthcare industry. Get all those brokers and salesmen training in holistic medicine. More healthcare providers, meaning more doctors, more nurses, more healthcare techs = higher supply of healthcare service, thus demand is spread out thereby REDUCING COST.

Where, in the plan Obama is pushing, is there any drive to make more doctors? In reality funding for education is being slashed.

Also from the SEIU website:
"Every man, woman and child in America must be guaranteed access to quality affordable coverage that will cover what they need to keep them healthy, provide adequate coverage for when they need it, and protect them from skyrocketing costs."

Regarding "keeping them healthy" from above:
Keeping people healthy, (i.e. preventative medicine), is NOT practiced by ANY present government bureaucracy, industry, hospital nor insurance company. Nor are there ANY plans to introduce to the U.S. health care system a preventative medical apparatus that will deliver such. What makes such disease prevention reality is access to clean water, clean food, fitness activities, working safely, especially considering chemical and heavy metal exposure.
danielvincentkelley (2 weeks ago)
The FDA has had many high profile dirty food situations in the last few years, all grossly mishandled. Our water ways have been devastated by pollution in recent years. Fitness has been stripped from school budgets. OHSA is dysfunctional to an extreme by underfunding inspections and lackadaisical bureaucratic malignance. The EPA is allowing massive mercury pollution of our air and thus waterways. Essentially everything the government has claimed responsibility for doing that would protect people and prevent disease has seen a stand down. To operate as supposed protectors of the people, while letting industrial chiefs order the massive pollution that continues unabated, is the act of a treasonous government.
danielvincentkelley (2 weeks ago)
That you're standing lock in step with such an obviously mass murderous government, parroting Obama's hellth care rhetoric, highlights you as saddled with treason. To anyone unlucky enough to be associated with the fools at the top of this sinking ship, the SEIU, I hope you well digest your situation.

Possibly the SEIU is worth saving. Operating as part of a Union can be greatly empowering, IF, and it's a big if, IF the leadership is motivated by a sense of unity with those unified. Obviously that is NOT the situation in the SEIU. Obviously the SEIU leadership is power and monetarily motivated and for such they're kowtowing the line of the financial dominant as it has been passed to them by Obama. These people, the SEIU leadership would be lucky to survive the next decade.

6.6 billion people are about to discover the massive screw over that was put on them by heads of state and their dirty underlings as Union leadership, industrialists, media chiefs and the like.

1/3rd of sharks are endangered, same is true of 1/3 of amphibians and 1/4 of mammals! With the massive extinction that is under way, by industrial pollution primarily WHY would you union leaders think you're exempt? As soon as your utility to the present "order" is expired, you'll be next on the chopping block.
danielvincentkelley (2 weeks ago)
How's living expendable for you? You're totally and very easily expendable to those you're empowering. Have fun while you can I guess, right? Because your next few thousand lives will be pure hell, ultimately getting gnawed as food like all the cow burgers you put away in your lives.

It's never too late to decide to live well. You have much to adjust so you better start now.
