Many thanks for your "Making of Das Boot" material. I am an American of German descent and visited the BRD in 1976. Mein Deutsch ist nicht so gut als wie dann....I am also a great fan of the film and novel. I was aware of this "making of" documentary, but unsure how to acquire it in the U.S. As with so many things, however, youtube provides the answer. Again, thanks.
