slight suggestion ... always wipe, polish, clean etc IN THE DIRETION of the wood grain. Keeps the guitar looking better longer and really opens up the wood.

any oil on a laquered maple fret board is a bad idea. damp rag with luke warm water for maple. nothing else. As for ebony, i would do the same. I only use lemon oil on my rosewood fretboards.
