In the late 70s, the author and illustrator of over 100 childrens classics and other books, hand-picked the Rosenbach to be the repository for his work. The museum, located in Phillys historic Rittenhouse Square neighborhood, has the largest collection of Sendakiana in the world including over 3,000 works of art and more than 7,000 other working materials.
