iMovie has been the BEST program I used for video editing at home. I have doing video editing for 11 years, and, iMovie is as good as AVID's line of editing software, even, Media 100 is as good as iMovie. I LOVE Final Cut Studio. Soundtrack was the BEST audio editing and recording I EVER used at home. I like Soundtrack Pro as much as Pro Tools.
