Hello Devin, I am currently a student at Mt Whitney high school in Visalia. Im honestly disgusted with how you can sleep at night knowing your denying many the chance to even see a doctor. You wont give them a chance to have a medicare type option? "Don't cut my medicare (single payer)!" 159 people will die next year because of a lack of medical coverage. If you could come talk to me at my school i would greatly appreciate that. Thank you sir =) p.s. you look like brick from anchor man

Devin is my congressman, I am proud to say! He will win big in the next election, if he cares to run... the one we have to get rid of is Jim Costa. He's a go-along to get along Democrat and Nancy Pelosi owns him. He claims to be a blue dog... he voted for this piece of crap bill. Heads on a Stick!!

Agriculture is one of the oldest institutions that mankind has; it transcends ethnicity, religion, culture, even nations. When this institution dwindles and goes, so too does the civilization that allowed it to go. Perhaps law should be passed where in times of drought (like these times in this valley where a state wide crisis has been in place) government property should be stripped of frivolous and unnecessary vegetation and replaced with gravel and stones in order to cut down on water usage. Not just here in the valley but up in the bay area, down south in the large concrete city. Imagine how much water would be saved if we didn't use it on decorative shrubs but instead that water was diverted to both farmer and smelt alike.

I aplaud Nunes for his service to California...he's a good man. Is anything he's said wrong? Can anyone actually argue him? He's spot on, and he's got some serious guts. I work in Ag, and seeing whats happening to the beautiful valley is beyong sad. Environmentalism run amuck.

This is in response to AlexFate101. Congressman Nunes constituents elected him because he represents US, voters from the Central Valley. He as many of us are or know comes from a farming background. He is fighting to preserve our way of life here in the Central Valley; farming, dairy, dairy processing, shipping and receiving, trucking, manufacturing (what's left of it), NOT in another COUNTRY! As far as Iraq goes do your research, Saddam Hussein was starving and killing his own people by the masses before we set foot there, and now that country can begin to prosper. By the way, Iraq has water delivery systems planned for farming.....interesting isn't it?

There is no reason thousands of families should suffer due to a poor judgment. Would a city close the only road to city hall for repairs without a detour being available? Provisions to have an alternative source should have been implemented before the pumps were shut off. Shame on Feinstein and Boxer for not working with Jim Demint. He is at least trying to help the families in need, can't say the same for the two of them.

America used USAID to destroy Haiiti's economy. That is just one example. Farmers have for years put their pocketbooks before the interests of the American people. Whilst I don't agree with environmentalists having power to destroy jobs, the farmers of America may be reaping the destruction they have sown around the world and in their country - not taking care to give people jobs the way they used to generations back. Now it is all big machines and GM crops.
