John Piper professes to be Calvinistic, but his teachings tell a far different story. John Piper teaches that men are justified by faith and works (by an infused righteousness) in his book "The Purifying Power Of Living By Faith In...Future Grace." Piper has never retracted his heretical teachings from this book, and it continues to be published and sold throughout the world.
John Piper openly denies the Covenant of Works, but then claims the Covenant of Grace is conditional. He actually claims justification is conditional. Piper then denies Limited Atonement, and claims that Christ died for all people. Piper admits he cannot understand how men are responsible--if God is Sovereign!
John Piper endorses the heresy of Federal Vision and defends the false teachings of Doug Wilson and N.T. Wright.
Instead of pointing out the plain truth that Arminianism contradicts Calvinism at almost every major theological point, Piper publicly claims Calvinism is the same as Arminianism, except Calvinism simply believes more than Arminianism. John Piper's heretic-buddy, Mark Driscoll (a man who claimed Jesus had lustful thoughts about women--thus making Jesus guilty of adultery), also claims Calvinism is simply hyper-Arminianism--showing that this false claim is actually a talking point among them. Driscoll's heresy receives full support from John Piper, who stated publicly that he loves Mark Driscoll's theology.
So why do people still follow this false teacher? Because people today could care less about what the Bible teaches. They enjoy supporting men who tickle their ears, rather than testing what is preached with Scripture alone (see Acts 17:11). The Bible says, "The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so" (Jeremiah 5:31).
Today's public school teachers want your children to learn a specific history. It is not the same history taught to our fathers. Quite a lot of changes have been made in this new history. Quite a lot of omissions have also taken place. As a result, critical components of history have not been learned by the average American child.
American Children no longer know why it is important to remember the Alamo. They no longer know the causes of the French And Indian War. They no longer know who the Puritans were, and why they wanted to be free. They no longer know why it is important for American citizens to own guns--and to know how to use them. They no longer know of the Protestants who were murdered in America, for simply believing that the Bible alone is the Word of God. And, because our children have been dumbed down by our public schools, video games, and television--they no longer want to know!
Today's history teachers are selected by individuals who want a specific history taught to the public. They have reasons for teaching this history. They have an agenda.
However, when we discover that the history taught to American children in the 1800's is very different from what is taught to Americans today, then we must also discover the reason why. People then, even history teachers, were more Calvinistic than they are today. There were far more Bible-believers then, the government was small and limited, and people had much more freedom to enjoy.
Children then did not bring guns to school and shoot their class-mates and teachers. But many of them owned guns, and hunted frequently (sometimes leaving the school-house with their guns in hand). Those children were moral and responsible. So what has changed?
In the 1800's, the Americans were taught a history the Pope hopes you never learn. It is a history that reveals the tyrannical side of Roman Catholicism. It is a history that reveals the freedom hating side of Roman Catholicism. It is a history that reveals the violent murderous side of Roman Catholicism. It is a history that reveals the greedy economic and political side of Roman Catholicism. It is a history that reveals the Bible-hating side of Roman Catholicism.
If you remain ignorant of this history, then the Pope will have an easier time dominating the world. But if you believe in the basic principles of the Protestant Reformation, Scripture Alone and Justification By Faith Alone, then the Pope can never have dominion over your nation, your money, or your mind. If you learn that the Bible is the text-book of Freedom, then you will be more inclined to search the Scriptures. Again, in short, this is a History The Pope Hopes You Never Learn.
