Du'a Al Jawshan Al Kabir
In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful The Importance of the Du`a Jawshan Kabir It has been mentioned in the book, Balad al-Amin and the Misbah of Kafa`mi that Imam `Ali ibn al-Husain Sayyid as-Sajjidin (RA) related from his father from his grandfather the Prophet of Allah (SAS) that this supplication was taught by the Angel Jibra'il (AS) to the Prophet (sas) during one of the battles. It was in one of the wars that the Prophet (sas) had taken part in which he had a very heavy and expensive coat of armor on to protect himself. It is related that the coat was so heavy that it was hurting the body of the Prophet (sas). In this state, the Angel Jibra'il (as) came to the Prophet (sas) and said: "O' Muhammad! Your Lord conveys his salutations to you and has said to take this coat of armor (Jawshan) and to recite it as this is a protection for you and your Ummah." At this point, the Angel continued to give the Prophet (sas) an explanation on the greatness of this supplication, which we will omit from here due to lack of space. However it suffices us to state that whoever reads this supplication with a pure intention in the BEGINNING of the month of Ramadhan, Allah (SWT) will grant him sustenance on the Night of Power and will create for this person 70,000 Angels who will all be busy in the praising and glorification of Allah (swt) and will give this reward to the person who has read this supplication. With this said, we see the greatness of the recitation of this supplication. In addition, it is mentioned that whoever reads this supplication three times during the month of Ramadhan, Allah (SWT) will make the hell-fire forbidden on him and would make it obligatory for that person to go into Paradise. For such a person, Allah (SWT) will also appoint two Angels to protect that person from all evils (in this world) and he would be in the protection of Allah (swt) for as long as he is alive. http://www.duas.org/jkabeer/Importance_of_Joshnkabir.pdf There are several complete collections of Jawshan already posted on Youtube, but I did not find any in this format, easy to read in Arabic, English and with Transliteration. InshAllah I will post the rest before the end of Ramadhan!

About Listen, Read and Learn Quran!
Selaam Aleykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!
Peace of Allah be with you, and His Mercy and His Blessings!
I created this channel to share the beauty of the Quran with all Muslims & non-Muslims.
Non-Muslims can benefit by hearing what a traditional recitation of the Quran sounds like. There are over 1 million people in the world who have memorized the entire Quran, and can recite it in this fashion. You can hear something which is a worldwide phenomenon, and read its meaning in English.
For Muslims, and I believe the majority of viewers are, you can read along, and inshAllah improve your ability to read the Arabic quickly and with tajweed (rules of recitation), and at the same time, inshAllah, you will see the English translation - this can help to improve our understanding of Allah's miraculous book.
There are three types of prayer in Islam - Worship (Salat), Praise (Thikr) and Supplication (Dua). All prayers are the key to closeness with our creator. Thikr and dua after the morning and evening worship are especially important for this, so if you do not perform any morning & evening thikrs, please take some time to learn some. I have posted some on my channel! If the Arabic is difficult to understand or learn, then do them in English (or your native language) - but for the sake of Allah do something!
"And when you have completed the Salat (worship prayer), remember Allah (make thikr) standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] Salat. Indeed, Salat has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times." Quran 4:103
"Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds and establish Salat and give zakah will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve." Quran 2:277
وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا
"And remember (thikr) the name of your Lord in the morning and evening" Quran 76:25
Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and exalt [ Allah ] with praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant. They arise from [their] beds; they supplicate (make du'a) to their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend (in charity). Quran 32:16-17.
May Allah SWT help all of us to have a better knowledge and understanding of His Verses.
Jazakum Allah Khair.
