How can I make Europe see Chinese Art? It's a question alright. The annoying thing is, if I go into a European Art shop, it is floor to ceiling Western Art Materials. EVERYTHING from the mundane to the completely riddiculous but NOTHING Chinese.In Winchester I asked about Chinese Art materialsa nd the Woman in there actually got annoyed and started to get hostile. They had a jam jar with about ten little cheap brushes on and that was kind of it. Oh yes, a touritsy gift set for £20.
In this instance how do you get the Chinese Materials under the nose of the masses?
The only way they can be inspired is by looking at the Art, or else holding the means.
Its a dilemma because Chinese Art is scarce across all europe.
So I learn. My raggedy works I post in the hope that someone will come along and do better, or be inspired enough to see what on earth inspired me.
I hope my paintings bring a smile at least.
