UK singer songwriter with comparisons ranging from The Blue Nile, Prefab Sprout, George Michael, The Beloved and The The to Bowie, Springsteen and Tom Waits.
About Me:
RADIO HISTORY -- ROJOR hit BBC Radio Newcastle daytime playlist with "Kane's Song" in 2004 and subsequent albums "Faint Signal" & "The Book of Secret Songs" brought forth radio singles "Sail Away With Me" (No.2 UKSounds download chart), "In The Shoes of The Fisherman" and "November Song". This was followed up in 2008 with the album "The Thief Who Stole the Truth" and in 2009 with the loosely acoustic series "Wire & Wood". ROJOR has picked up airplay across the BBC night-time network, as well as in Germany, France and the Netherlands. Live acoustic sessions on BBC Tees, BBC Shropshire and BBC Newcastle have been supplemented with interviews at BBC Northampton, Student radio and Internet stations across the UK .
LIVE -- ROJOR was nominated as Best Solo Artist in the TME Awards 2005 and is one of the UK's most exciting and prolific songwriters. From a full band to a one-man acoustic show this is an accomplished live artist having played live with the likes of Primal Scream and Martin Stephenson. ROJOR has also headlined the 'FTWL Stage' at BBC Music Live (Middlesbrough) and is no stranger to the big audience, but he is also equally at home in more intimate live surroundings where the true essence of his beautiful songs is often best captured, as was the case at the GALA Theatre (Durham) in 2007.
