FAVORITE SHOWS (theater, no particular order): Spamalot / Hairspray / Sunday in the Park with George (the original production, though I recently saw the revival and thoroughly enjoyed it) / Avenue Q / Wicked / Follies / Aida / Cabaret / Angels In America / Little Shop of Horrors / The Secret Garden (beautifully staged and there's one song in the score that makes me cry whenever I hear it) / John Leguizamo's one-person shows / Chicago / Boeing Boeing (I'm not much for French farce, with all the physical comedy and door slamming, but the women in the current production of this play are so fantastic and funny that it eclipsed any issues I have with French farce).
Music: Hard to say. There is such a range of stuff on my iPod: from classical to the pop-iest of pop. FAVORITE GROUPS AND SINGERS: Nirvana / Whitney Houston (the pre-crack-is-whack Whitney, because now I do not know what the hell is going on with her) / Rob Thomas / Matchbox Twenty, Beyonce (I kinda hate to admit it, but I like most of her stuff) / Jody Watley (her cover of 'Boderline' is great) / Sarah McLachlan (some of songs are a bit too airy-fairy for me, but she has an amazing voice) / Billy Joel / Bryan Adams / Cake / Carol Douglas / Cyndi Lauper / Darlene Love / Diana Krall / Evanescence (the lead singer's voice is amazing) / Heather Headly / Hoobastank / India Arie / Korn / Jason Mraz / Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam / Luther Vandross / Mama Cass / Maroon 5 / Mary J.
