Give $10-$20 for 20/20
Support PBIs vision screening, eye care and education efforts
Prevent Blindness Indiana has made great strides this year with our programs. You can help continue this growth by participating in our Give $10-$20 for 20/20 fundraising campaign. (www.pbeye.org for more information)
We maintained our ambitious funding levels this year and are not increasing our budget for next year even though we hope to launch at least one new program. While our overall donors have increased, the tumultuous economy has lead to a decrease in giving levels this year. Our fiscal year ends March 31, 2009, and with giving levels down in all areas, we will likely see a shortfall occurring at year end. To continue our level of services to meet increased demands in 2009, we ask your help. We have taken steps in the office to be wise stewards of our resources and have take salary reductions and cut our expenses to the extent possible to continue providing services.
We hope to raise $80,000 from individuals like you to sustain vision health of our children and adults in Indiana. We ask you to commit between $10 and $25 per month to help us accomplish this goal. We also will make your gift-giving as easy as possible.
You can spread out your giving by choosing a recurring monthly gift. Any amount will be put to good use, and our new online giving mechanism makes it free and easy to schedule. To make a gift, go to $10-$20 for 20/20. Our new mechanism, powered by Razoo, tracks all of your online charitable giving without passing on any administrative fees to you or us.
Our desire is to carry out our mission and be good stewards. We appreciate your support and look forward to your being part of a successful new year for PBI.
