Ponteland Community High School has a deleveloping media department, which is embracing the internet to encourage student insight in the subject. The Ponteland High channel showreels videos from GCSE and 6th Form groups, from year 11 and 12's media studies classes.

The purpose of this channel is to inspire media students in the up and coming years. It is acts as a showreel highlighting the talents of our students to their friends and families. It is hoped that it will inspire people outside of Ponteland Community High School, such as visitors, prospective partners, as well as the media.


THE BEGINNING...

The channel began as a positive response to the growing use of the youtube service by the students. As the media tecnician for the school I already have my own portfolio up on youtube and it was proving to be popular with the students. (This can be found by typing my name into the search box)...and that is how it began.
