Franklin Pierce University's Fitzwater Center covered numerous parts of the 2008 election on the national, state and local levels. Key highlights of the election coverage: Two Fitzwater student news teams traveled to the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention; students traveled to Dixville Notch, NH for the first in the nation voting; the Fitzwater Center covered the NH District I and District II debates in Manchester. Although the election is over, the Fitzwater Center is continuing to cover current political events.

The Fitzwater Center also covers nonpolitical events, such as the NASCAR at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway from June 26 to June 28.
