Metroid Fusion 100% Part 4 - Tropical Electrocution PinkKitty... - 172 views - 1 day ago
Continuing right off from before, we make our way even deeper into the poorly mapped Sector 2! What is there to say here? It is pretty much just more of the same as we saw in the previous video... except for one little exception! There is one particular spot where we catch a glimpse of the SA-X. Stay AWAY from it, though! That Ice Beam of its can pretty much take out Samus in one shot in her currently weakened state. There is also another little mini-boss that is just downright weird in terms of design... The bosses seem to have taken the "quantity over quality" route in this game... There are lots and lots of bosses/mini-bosses, but very few of them are all that exciting... This one gives us the High Jump and the Jump Ball/Spring Ball though, so that should increase Samus's mobility a bit.

After beating the boss, some cocoons appear on the walls of some rooms to give us a handy little path back up to the top of the sector. This lets use escape and find out where the X have invaded next! This time they went off to the aquatic sector, Sector 4! Onward, to the mandatory water area!

Sector 4, unlike Sector 2, is plenty more interesting... The music is good, the enemies are not too annoying, and it gives us a little gimmick of the water having electricity running through it for awhile until we can deal with it. Thus we get to keep Samus high and dry for this trip... There are monsters to destroy, so that is what we shall do!

Enjoy!~

Metroid Fusion 100% Part 3 - Charging Into the Tropics PinkKitty... - 180 views - 2 days ago
Moving right along... in today's video we finally get a beam upgrade! Which one you ask? The same one that is almost always first... the Charge Beam! Better get used to it... we do not get to see another one for quite some time... There is not much left to do in Sector 1, so Samus quickly finishes up her task and is told to go to Sector 2, the tropical region.

While there, Samus gets informed that the thing causing so much damage throughout the research station is an X mimicing her previous self at full power. Obviously Samus cannot defeat such a thing in her current wimpy state, but the show must go on, so another power-up is available in Sector 2's data room! A short side quest later, and we have Bombs! Not much to say about the Tropical sector... Its music is uninteresting and you really spend very little time in it...

Enjoy!~

Metroid Fusion 100% Part 2 - Fan Clogging is Primitive PinkKitty... - 221 views - 3 days ago
Sorry about the missed upload yesterday, but my laptop has been suffering from going berserk! I mentioned in the previous video that I was reformatting it, and things were going well at first... Something must have buggered it up though as it started crashing in a very odd manner if I left it on for an hour or two... I have it working again now though, and it is running much better than it was these past couple of months. Hopefully there will be no more large amounts of random lock-ups and BSODs.

More about the video now, though! Now that the intro is out of the way, we can move onto more important things... like blowing up the first mini-boss! I make a very early mistake today that causes me to miss an Energy Tank I could have gotten... This ends up making me waste a couple moments back-tracking later on near the end of the game. The first mini-boss is very straight-forward as to be expected, and it gets you the (of course), Morph Ball power-up.

Much to be expected as well... the X get into the environmental sectors! Gasp! Who could have seen this coming?! Anyways... you get to chase them down and go put a stop to what they are up to. In this case... they invaded the SR388 habitat sector and are trying to make it better suited for mass growth... by clogging some fans...? Okay... whatever works! XD

I have also decided to keep the Metroid Fusion videos marked Private until I get the annotations done, as the sheer length of them mixed with the fact that it is a Metroid game makes it so it is kind of dull to watch without some sort of commentary.

Enjoy!~

IWBTG: Part 1 - Why am I Playing This? PinkKitty... - 897 views - 1 month ago
Ah yes... THIS game... Awhile ago when the first full version of this game was released, a bunch of friends of mine kept pestering me to play it... Course, the first thing I did was make fun of how several of us contradict the title altogether, but they eventually got me to play it. Much to my surprise, the game was more fun than frustrating... by quite a large margin, so I quickly found myself making my way through it, and thus, actually enjoyed playing it quite a bit.

In order to avoid my thoughts straying to contradictions, I will just remember it is "The Kid" who wants to be "The Guy", and not me. XD This must be one stupid kid... as even if you have played through the game before, you are still going to die well over 100, 200, 300, maybe even more times. In order to make the various deaths upon deaths upon deaths less of a bore, I decided to do something neat with the annotations, thus, the "Frustration-O-Meter" is born~ Due to how this works I am keeping each video marked Private until I actually get the annotations done...

More about the video, though... This segment of the game went... smoothly... Not even 11 minutes into the game and I already make it past the first boss, through the infamous Ghosts'n'Goblins segment, and onto the second boss... Right... we all know THAT kind of luck is not going to last very long. XD A lot of people give up on this game before even clearing the first room (particularly when the delicious fruit decides to fall UP)... Yeeeah... This is a game that requires patience and good memorization. Also... suspecting every tile on the screen of trying to kill you is actually a beneficial way to play the game. XD

IWBTG: Part 2 - Bionic Mecha Castles PinkKitty... - 569 views - 4 weeks ago
Alright... sorry about the lateness on this one, but there are still many of those pesky times where one's busy life catches up with them. XD Will try to get around to uploading tomorrow's part a little earlier than usual.

Ahem... needless to say Mecha Birdo is going to be taking up most of this video... but for a specific reason. The boss itself is not exactly all that hard as it is long. Plus, it is only the very last phase where death is especially common... making each attempt at the boss take a large chunk of time. Just in case it is hard to see in the video... these are the targets to shoot during the boss:

Phase 1: The antenna on the top of Mecha Birdo's head.
Phase 2: Mecha Birdo's eyes.
Phase 3: ...I just kind of shoot at its eyes, but I am not sure if it is doing any damage. From what I can tell, this phase may be set to end after you destroy a certain number of Shy Guys.

Moving on from the fight though... we get to a section that supposedly has Bionic Commando (NES version) music. The section is quite short... but this is mainly because you are guaranteed to see it at least twice due to necessary back-tracking later on. The first path to take through here leads onto the Castlevania themed area. I think it is pretty obvious who the next boss is going to be, no?

If you want to play this game, you can get it from the game's website:

IWBTG: Part 3 - What is a Man? Not Me! PinkKitty... - 552 views - 4 weeks ago
Today's video title obviously referencing part of today's boss... Dracula's, speech. Starting things right off with him... Dracula has a habit of trying to cheat... His attack pattern is entirely random, so he can end up using a series of attacks that end up seemingly impossible to dodge... Usually this is related to the homing flaming delicious fruit he shoots out every now and then. Most attacks are easy to dodge... most... What makes Dracula a more relaxing battle though is that he is short. Each attempt does not take very long, so it is less annoying to die during... unlike Mecha Birdo.

After this, we have cleared the first path of the game that takes us through the first three bosses of the game. Thus, we get teleported back to the start of the game and get to take a different path this time. Along the way we meet the Room of Divine Transport. This lets the player teleport to room that cam immediately after a boss. This is useful if you go the wrong way at any point and need to go find an old boss again.

The path also brings us to the most terrifying room of all! The Tetris room! The fact that you are trapped in a game of Tetris, not knowing how they play the game, so being paranoid as to where the blocks are going to drop! There are some cases where it can and will trap you hopelessly, so be ready to be on the move!

After escaping that, we get to the last segment of today's video where you have to outrun a moving spiked wall that flings delicious fruit at you. Umm... eep? On the bright side... GREEN GREENS!

If you want to play this game, you can get it from the game's website:

Rockman No Constancy (Difficult) - Air Man's Stage PinkKitty... - 558 views - 1 month ago
Now that Mega Man 3 is complete, it is time to move onto something new! I went with a bit of a twist this time... instead of playing another Mega Man game, I decided to mix it up a little by playing a rom hack of Mega Man 2 instead!~ Rockman No Constancy is known as one of the more difficult Mega Man rom hacks out there, especially on the Difficult setting (you choose the difficulty mode by applying the correct patch file onto the rom). You can tell which difficulty setting is being played based on the colour of Mega Man. He is his usual blue for Normal mode, and is green for Difficult mode.

This rom hack is about as thorough as they get. Pretty well everything has been re-worked in one way or another. Stages re-designed, music changed, boss AI altered, weapons are different, etc. Everything is quite high-quality as well, so this makes the rom hack very enjoyable, even if it has its murderously difficult moments.

I am going to start the whole thing off with Air Man, as his weapon has become very powerful, making it an essential tool for other robot master stages for quickly taking out certain bothersome enemies. Enemies are really only problematic on the Difficult setting of Rockman No Constancy as on this setting, your buster does half as much damage, you take twice as much damage, and the invincibility state when getting hit is REMOVED. Once Mega Man flinches backward he can be immediately struck again, which can lead to a lot of cheap, annoying deaths.

More about the stage, though... Air Man's stage reminds me of Kirby games now with the way it is designed. The music is happy and peppy, and the stage is brightly coloured. The stage itself is actually pretty easy with only a couple of exceptional spots... mainly getting past the cloud riding enemies and the frogs can get pretty annoying sometimes.

Air Man... is definitely harder than the original Mega Man 2 version of him as his wind patterns no longer allow for sneaking shots in-between them, but on the other hand he has no more nearly impossible to avoid patterns... The biggest thing to watch out for with him is to make sure to always time your jump correctly when he blows you away when you are standing behind him. If you fail this jump it seems to be instant death! Ouch...

Enjoy!~

EDIT: Oops... forgot to include the link! Same thing goes as with the Super Mario World rom hack I covered... Do not ask for the original Rockman 2 ROM as I simply will not respond and persistence will get you blocked. In order to play this ROM hack you need the original Rockman 2 and Lunar IPS to apply the hack's patch to the original rom. The rom hack IPS can be found here:

http://www.romhacking.net/hack s/321/

I will include the link in each video that follows.

EDIT2: Oh right, forgot to emphasize... The Japanese version is the original rom that you must patch, thus, Rockman 2 and not Mega Man 2. Easiest way to tell is in Rockman 2, Crash Man is named Clash Man~

Rockman No Constancy (Difficult) - Heat Man's Stage PinkKitty... - 397 views - 1 month ago
Well hey, I am actually uploading something at my normal upload time for once (or at least I WAS, but then YouTube's video processor decided to fail on me)! Been on a bit of a spree of lateness, but eh, here we go!~ Yesterday's stage was likely the second easiest in the entire Rockman No Constancy rom hack... while today's stage is like the easiest of all... especially the boss! Heat Man's stage features remastered music from Mega Man Zero 2! IKA really knows how to program NSF audio files. Much like how the music was originally used, this stage is desert-themed~. The difficulty level of the stage itself is fairly moderate, but having Item 2 handy from Air Man's stage makes certain sections a lot easier... namely... the disappearing blocks segment that is fairly evil. The biggest thing about this stage is you need to be cautious. Trying to rush things will most certainly result in death!

Heat Man himself is a pitiful wimp... The only attack that has a good chance of hitting you is the one he flings at you the moment the battle starts. After that, as long as you are fighting him correctly, you should not have any trouble at all beating him without taking damage. Heat Man's weakness is actually pretty useless against him as it moves too slowly to be effective and you simply do not want to be close to Heat Man when you hit him. It can be difficult to tell when Heat Man is going to charge at you, so it is recommended to have as much space between him and Mega Man as possible before landing a hit. This will give you lots of time to react to jump over him and keep going.

In order to play this rom hack, you will need the original Rockman 2 ROM as well as this hack's IPS patch file. The patch can be applied with Lunar IPS or a similar patching tool. Do NOT ask me where to find the original Rockman 2 ROM or ask me send it to you as I will not respond. Persistence will lead to you being blocked. The following website links to the rom hack's IPS patch file, and an IPS patching tool should be on the website too, but you are on your own for finding the Rockman 2 ROM.

Rockman No Constancy (Difficult) - Flash Man's Stage PinkKitty... - 390 views - 1 month ago
Evil. EVIL. EVIL!!! Seriously... this stage and boss is a nightmarish combination! There is not one moment where this stage lets up at all. It is like constant threats every single screen! Bottomless pits, mechs, birds, invisible floors and ceilings... gah! This is definitely one of the game's stages where you may be pulling your hair a bit. Lord knows I gave my ponytail a yank or two during some of the recording attempts. It still manages to be fun, but I am happy that not all the stages are like this.

Flash Man himself is a HUGE problem given his AI mixing with your lack of an invincibility state. Flash Man's AI is set to constantly walk towards you... SLOWLY! Thus, if he so much as bumps into you he can take your health from full to nearly zero just like that! The only thing I could find to do to try and prevent this is to get him constantly hopping around towards the back of the room, thus letting me stay out of his way. Flash Man is definitely one of the hardest Robot Masters this time around... what a pest!

EDIT: I keep forgetting to add this... sooooo...

Wario Land Shake It! - Intro and Story PinkKitty... - 3,684 views - 8 months ago
Time for a new game...! I haven't had my paws on this one for all that long (about a month), and have gotten through the game once. It's an extremely fun game, so I've decided to go through again and record it.

This video shows the game's opening story... and in the usual Nintendo style, it's corny and cliche to an extent, but hey, storyline does not matter very much for this kind of game!

Oh... and the anime-styled cut-scenes only occur twice in the whole game.

Wario Land Shake It! - Aboard the Sweet Stuff PinkKitty... - 1,470 views - 8 months ago
Now to begin with the actual stages! This stage is merely the training stage to show you the controls and get a feel for how the game works. The stage is quite short so I merely zip through it.

The game itself is quite long and has lots and lots of things to find and do, so I'll be showing each of these bit by bit.

Wario Land Shake It! - W1-1: Stonecarving City PinkKitty... - 3,056 views - 8 months ago
...and so the actual adventure begins! The first actual level of Wario Land: Shake It, is fairly basic and short, but this pattern does not really last for long. The first level of every world seems to be very easy, though.

I'm adding minor amounts of video editing into each stage at this point so I can fit all the needed missions into one video.

I wonder who came up with all of the game's treasures...

Enjoy!~

WildToushi: The artwork displayed in my videos, channel icon, live channel works, etc, are not my own works. A good friend of mine does the line-art for them and I merely colour them since I have no drawing abilities myself and I love her work. =n.n=; Her name was displayed in my Mega Man 9 Ms. Perfect videos as "Black Raiden". On the live channel, two of the drawings are her work with my colouring, while each of the other two drawings were done completely as gifts from others who know me. =n.n=;

*looks* Flawless gameplay? I dunno... I am really clumsy so I still make plenty of mistakes when playing games. The videos look a bit more refined as I keep trying stages until I get a run I like as opposed to all the sloppy ones in between. My live playthroughs make it pretty clear how I play without getting any practice beforehand. XD

Well, my laptop is back up and running again, so I can upload a video today! *goes to do such*
