Prague, Czech Republic On Google Earth Philovideo - 110 views - 1 week ago
Prague, Czech Republic as seen on Google Earth with the 3d building feature turned on. for more info about Prague, go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P rague

Note: My apologies, but, in the video captions, I misspelled "Czechoslovakia" I would have to redo and re-upload the video to correct that, but, the country is no longer called Czechoslovakia, but, the Czech Republic.

Looks like more and more of the cities on Google Earth are having high quality 3D buildings added to them. A high speed dual core CPU equipped computer and a broadband internet connection is a big help in playing around with Google Earth!

I used a program called "Fraps" (Testing out the demo version) to convert the animated graphics on Google Earth to .avi video. You can get Fraps at http://www.fraps.com

Pipe organ music background was music I downloaded from http://www.sonusparadisi.cz for free courtesy of Jiri Zurek. A great site to go to if you are interested in pipe organ music, esp of old historic pipe organs.

Some Photos and a few video segments that I took at Mirror Lake, Utah and surrounding area that is located high up in the Utah Unita Mountain Range. (The Unita Mountain range is the only Mountain range that runs East to West instead of North to South unlike most of the Rocky Mountain ranges.)

Hoover Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant Tour Part 1 Philovideo - 2,561 views - 4 months ago
These are a series of video clips that I took when some friends of mine and I visited the Hoover Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant back on December 28, 2008. Hoover Dam is located at Lake Mead at the Arizona and Nevada State line and just East of Las Vegas on US Highway 93. The highway goes over the dam, but a by pass bridge is being built across the Colorado River just down stream from the dam due to be completed in September of 2009. For more info about the bridge, go to
http://www.hooverdambypass.org /Whats_New.htm

Video part 1 mainly shows the outside area of the dam as viewed from the visitor center observation area and from the top of the dam and part 2 are video clips are scenes taken inside some of the inner passage way tunnels and also inside one of the big main 650 feet long and 75 feet high generator halls with some good views of the water powered turbine generator units.
