Southern California beach bum turned fuzzy forest denzine. I spend most of my time in the San Gabriel Mountains either hiking, biking, camping, picking up litter, restoring hiking trails, busting up illegal rock dams, putting out fires, telling forest visitors where the toilets are, telling visitors there's no Coke machine anywhere around here, and (on rare occasion) running from bears, rampaging deer, and poison oak. Actually I kind of like poison oak.

Music: U2. REM. Black Death Crushing Metal rock that melts the brain. Elton John. Tom Petty. Buns and Hoses up to a point. Hell, just about anything but country and western which REALLY sucks. My iPod holds 219 songs, some of them TRULY evil. Pearl Jam up to a point. You know.
Books: Edward Abbey. Stephen King. Ray Bradbury. Issac Asimov. Robert A. Heinlein. Larry Niven. Oh sweet baby Jesus, there are just too many of them to list. Can't STAND! Tom Clancey. Hate Tom Clancey. Want to see him die horribly, in fact. Larry Niven? Said that already.
