It's a Toshiba 40 inch TV actualy, but it works fine as a computer monitor (I use it daily). It's a 2010 or 2011 model, but it's a refurb as far as I know. I got it from my brother because he didn't need it anymore ;)

Windows XP on P1 PC

Installing and running Windows XP Pro on a Pentium 166@233Mhz PC just for fun :P

Nemesizzonline Nemesizzonline commented:

This Compaq only has a ATA33 controller, where more modern (by now they're actualy old :P ) PC's have ATA100 controllers. So this was very slow compared to a fresh install on a Pentium 3 or Pentium 4 for that matter.

I've got a few more Pentium 1's left. Most of them aren't used anymore (but still work if they have to). And these old processors are quite tough, they don't die that easely ;) Modern processors are more sensative to overvolting and such and die a lot quicker.

With 486'es I was a bit lucky with the mainboard I used and the 2 SX-25's I had. My other 486-mainboards usualy wouldn't go above 33 or 40Mhz, this particular board did 50Mhz no sweat. With my SX33, DX33 I wasn't so lucky, 40Mhz max, and DX2 66 only at 80Mhz (and unstable).

I've installed service pack 1 on it (not in this video, but afterwards) and it decreased it's speed so dramatically that it took a few minutes to start.

Maybe I might make a video of showing the impact on boot speed service packs have, but that's gonna take me serveral hours which I do not always...

If you type "knight rider schematic" in google you'll get a load of possible ways to make one. Was planning to make one from a internet schematic at first, but I bought a kit instead. There is a little difference in symbols in the schematics between european and american schematics, but they wor...

For this card I didn't use thermal paste or pads on the memorychips because I didn't know it would work at all when I baked the card. However it is recommanded to use paste or pads when removing and re-attaching the heatsink.

Im impressed that a non-gaming laptop can run older games quite good. For such a small size and relative low price quite good performance.

Im still thinking of getting one, unfortunatly they are all out of stock atm :(

Prolly one of the few downsides of this thing.
