2009 Theme: The World in a Day

World Day on the Mall began as recognition of state employees and has grown to encompass a celebration of diversity in state government and the community. The celebration also welcomes local businesses, agencies, and organizations to participate as well.

The goal of World Day is to promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of all individuals and cultures. The day includes educational and informative presentations on various multi-cultural topics, live entertainment, as well as ethnic food and information vendors.
