"We work in the dark — we do what we can — we give what we have. Our doubt is our passion and our passion is our task. The rest is the madness of art."
-Henry James, 'The Middle Years' (1893)

"When angry, count to four; when very angry, swear."
-Mark Twain, 'Pudd'n'head Wilson' (1894)

"You know everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects."
-Will Rogers, The New York Times 8/31/1924

"Each generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it."
-George Orwell

"The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt."
-Bertrand Russell

"Life does not start and stop at your convenience, you miserable piece of shit."
-Walter Sobchak, 'The Big Lebowski' (1998)

Not much to say. One of the YT pioneers, I arrived in the summer of '06; when fewer extremists and spammers roamed the boards. I like to read and one of my favorite authors is Kurt Vonnegut, he died April '07. So it goes. Some other favorites are Philip Roth and Ernest Hemingway.

I also like Movies, mostly older ones but I do like some recent films. Favorite actors/actresses include Jimmy Stewart, Spencer Tracy, and Katharine Hepburn. I like almost all varieties of music, particularly Classical by Chopin or Liszt. I don't play, however.

I'm occasionally interested in politics and some of my favorite Presidents include: Jefferson, Lincoln, Theo. Roosevelt, FDR, Truman and Eisenhower. Other people I like are Thomas Paine, Benj. Franklin, Gandhi, Will Rogers, Mark Twain, and William F. Buckley, Jr. I cannot stand racism or ignorance, but I don't like Political Correctness either.

I really like comedy, I'll laugh at almost anything, so long as it has comedic value. Some of my favorite comedians are Lewis Black, George Carlin, Daniel Tosh, Jim Gaffigan, Jon Stewart, Craig Ferguson, Stephen Colbert, and Monty Python.

I've been on YT long enough to be described as anything from intelligent and bright to fucking stupid. So if you're looking for someone to bait, you might want to go somewhere else. I don't tolerate people who feel the only way they can express their opinion is through pointless insults.

RIP
Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. (1922-2007)
William F. Buckley, Jr. (1925-2008)
George Carlin (1937-2008)

"Cynical Humanism and don't care for political correctness" No wonder you thought I was tryin' to start something with ya. For 17 you are a really well rounded person, I must say. Good for You (not sarcastic)!!
It's just sometimes when people start calling people by their own names that were taught to them as children, I have a hard time. It sometimes leads to bigotry, which I detest.

Here is my favorite Colbert quote:

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will fight to the death for my right to fight you to the death."

Yeah, you have good quotes.

There's a lot of stuff in 1984 that is quotable.

My new quote posted on my channel:

"Power is not a means; it is an end . . . The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power."---George Orwell, "1984"

Love your page. I came here because I couldn't find your comment in the comments thingy. So, yeah. I tend to be a little off sometimes, dumbfounded. I don't know, I just figured I would put my two sense in. I saw something about the jews taking over and I feel as though we, as American's, are becoming the minority in our own country.

Hi there. I was just agreeing with you. Everyone should just follow the spiritual path that resonates with them. Or don't follow any path at all. It's all the same. It all leads to "God"

It was my brilliant essay called(and I'm not kidding): How to write an essay on how to do things. Confused? Everyone had to pick a task that they would write an essay explaining in steps of how to do it. I just picked how to write that kind of essay.

I ended up getting an A on the thing. I had people laughing about it. And my teacher loved it. I forget the quote I used in my closing, but it was funny and worked in with the subject manner. My English teacher was a big Colbert fan, so . . .

And yes, I got his book last year for Christmas.
