The official Trout Fishing in America Youtube channel.
Trout Fishing in America is the long-standing musical partnership of Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet. The name taken from a Richard Brautigan novel, seems almost as incongruent and intriguing as a picture of this musical duo - Ezra Idlet (guitar) stands six feet nine inches and Keith Grimwood (bass), five feet five and one half inches. What is more intriguing is the musical career these two have carved out in nearly three decades of writing, recording and performing together. Trout Fishing in America can look back at a body of work that is impressive and know they are just hitting their stride. On the heels of their fourth Grammy nomination, Big Round World and the release of their first children's book, My Name is Chicken Joe, it is no wonder that Trout Fishing in America sees the future as the brightest part of their successful career.

I can honestly say you guys taught me Roman numerals; I LOVED your music when I was little and still sing it once in a while! If you could put more songs up, like Dreaming (my favorite), I'd be excited!

I have loved Trout Fishing in America ever since I was a little girl. I used to watch them all the time at the Palms in Winters! My parents would take me on my birthday, and various other times, depending on when you guys would be nearby. You guys are awesome, and thank you for making such awesome music! Bless you!

BTW... I am proud to know that I can sing the number of wheels on a big rig in roman numerals!

People always look at me funny when I just randomly start singing that, or Proper Cup of Coffee, or The Last Day of Pompei!

Thank you!

First started catching Fish in Shreveport (Murrel's rules) and Longview at festivals. Now I live in the Central Arkansas area and TFIA is a do not miss at Riverfest, and now with the upcoming MOD date, it gives me another chance to see my fave folk duo.

Hey TFIA -

I first saw you guys at Lovejoys in Houston, 1982. Back in the Mr. Mean and Hot to Trout days. I still have the album that you autographed that night and your business card that you gave me. We followed you around Houston and saw your shows many times. I look forward to seeing you at KU in August. I was 24 when I saw you first, now I am bringing my grand daughter to see you. Carry on dudes, LOL.

It is awesome to see a little tidbit of your show when I need a little break! Your outfits were extra snappy in this piece, I must say. ;o)

Love it!! - First saw you guys in the summer of 1994, at Juanita's in Little Rock - the Who Are These People album release party, and I was hooked! :) Since then, I've seen you a few times in Colorado - The Thunderbird Inn in Florissant, Lakewood, a couple Zany Brainy shows, Reno, Santa Cruz, and most recently last September at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley - what a GREAT show. I requested, and you performed, a very special song - Count On Me. Thanks! it really meant alot to me, and a special friend. I wish you, or someone would post it here :)

Thanks for the music guys!
