And to the Christians, who watched this clip and may have felt duped or betrayed, I want to say this: "No, I do not hold every Christian responsible for what is written in the bible" Those ARE however the teachings of Christianity. So if you say, that you do not subscribe to those teachings, then you are to be held responsible for having subscribed to the Christian faith without proper reflection. You are to be held responsible for supporting a system that manipulates people with these teachings from the day they are born. Don't be naive, these teachings exist. It's not just in what the bible says, it's also in presumptuous and ignorant practices like confession, that teach the same thing. How can any faith absolve you of crimes that you committed against humanity? How arrogant and spiteful is that? Do you put those teachings above humanity?
Do you put those teachings above your fellow Atheist friends, who have to deal with the stereotypes and prejudices instilled on society. You saw the studies, you're an intelligent observer: Do you still deny, these stereotypes exist in many heads? Do you believe that you are a better person, because you are a Christian? Why are you a Christian? Are you a Christian because you were born into it and because your social networks depend on it? Does this form of caving in not mean, that you support the exclusion of Atheists from those very same social networks? Being a Christian is not just about celebrating Christmas and going to summer camps. Being a Christian means supporting a system of privileges and power in favor of one ideology. Christianity has shown its drive for power in the past, and that drive is still basically the same, only the environment has changed. Christian Fundamentalism exists for a reason. It doesn't come out of nowhere, and it is based on the same drive for power. This is about way more than the question of whether or not God exists.
Atheists are growing in number, and you'll have to ask yourself this question: Are you going to isolate yourselves in a system of arcane theories, always dodging the uncomfortable questions and spinning things in a way that suit you? Or are you going to free yourselves of the dead weight, embrace the real world, and unite together as humans
