The tutorials found here are part of a Paint Shop Pro Newbie 101 website that I run. We offer mixed levels of tutorials, but please consider that a Newbie will learn more from actually seeing extra steps in action. This is more so on the tutorials about PSP X2.

Hello all you Web & Graphic Design Junkies!

I just wanted to post a quick bulletin to announce that Michele's Paint Shop Newbie 101 has been updated. We are working hard to get things in order to make things perfect. Just a few ideas we are working on, and maybe you can participate!

-We are looking for people that have web sites about PSP, Dreamweaver, HTML, Search Engine Optimization a.k.a SEO, and all around Web & Graphic Design. If you have a website like the ones listed, and keep up with it (you work hard to keep it updated) ... let me know! We are looking for a few good quality sites to consider linking to.

-For those that do not have web sites, but continue to bust their humps in these subjects. We are looking for a select few that would like to have their tubes (all or just a few) included into our Tubes directories with full credits to you of course. There are several people I've met that just do not have time to run a site, but enjoy sharing their tubes, animations and more. If you are one of them let me know!

-If you are a SEO nut like me, and have a few unique ideas, and would like to link up via content pages then you know the drill.

Do you think you could put up some tutorials on how to use dreamweaver to add stuff on sites like myspace, for instance like a banner at the top or adding a subscriber button to it?

how to use Dreamweaver, i've watched a bunch of tutorials from a lot
of people , and i never watched any like yours .

Just was trying to figure out the way Youtube message system works :) If I sent duplicates I apologize. I'm such a dip at times! I did send requests, and a message to subscribers, but it did not tell me it went through so I figured OK I will try it again. So I am not sure if it worked. If you are here because you did receive duplicates I apologize it was my mistake!

To convert.

If you open an image in PSP take a look at the "Layer Palette". Is the layer called "Background"? IF so right click on that layer and choose "convert to raster layer"

This conversion will allow for better editing if needed. Then go to FILE, EXPORT, and choose either GIF OPTIMIZER or JPEG OPTIMIZER. If the image will be on a website then GIF or JPEG is a fine choice. I suggest setting the compression as low as you can WITHOUT losing quality.

Several of my video tutorials show how to do this at the end of the tutorial to export out the final product :)

I just started my own little YouTube area so I am hopeful to become part of the active community here. I know I am posting on my own comment board, but just wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Michele, and I love to design, optimize, market, websites. I also enjoy working in Paint Shop Pro, Flash, Photoshop, Dreameaver, and more.

I plan on adding several Quickies-Video Tutorials to YouTube. I coined this term not to long ago and look forward to bring more quickies to YouTube.
