do some research? Yeah 150 years ago the republicans were the party that was headed by lincoln and ended slavery, but if you had seen one republican rally in the last year, you would know that that stand has completely changed. There were people that said he was a "terrorist muslim" or a "black supremicist" even though he's half white. I've done my research, but the party stands today and 150 years ago have obviously changed, and the republican party really needs to attract more thoughtful than afraid of the latter voters or they may see a decline in their power for a while

The case of egyptian plovers and nile crocodiles is not a widely excepted example of a symbiotic relationship because it simply does not happen very often. However, for the sake of argument, lets entertain the idea.
It may be useful to realize that organisms do not always fear other organisms unless it is through instinct or experience (for organisms with the ability to learn). For example, a calf that is born in a herd and has been habituated to the presence of humans early on does not know that it could be an appropriate food source if the humans so chose to shoot it. In the same way, the Egyptian plover does not know it should probably fear a crocodiles. Really though, why should it? |

On to co-evolution, which I assume is what you meant by co-existence.
Your first example concerning fish is very vague. First of all, not all fish feed on smaller fish and shrimp. Second of all, not all fish display a type of cleaning symbiosis. I think what I find most troubling about that run on sentence of a paragraph is your use of the term fish. Fish is a very broad term that refers to many distinct and unique species (approximately 32,500). While symbiosis is a wide spread phenomenon, different relationship have come about in a different manner and therefore, they cant all be accounted for in the same way. |

Secondly, both hydroquinone and hydrogen peroxide are both common chemicals found in all beetles. Hydrogen peroxide is a common by-product of cell metabolism. Quinones are chemicals produced by many insects. They are abundant in the cuticle-esq outer layer and taste bad to most predators. As Im sure you can realize, this is a very useful adaptation. Through the evolutionary process, there was natural selection for insects that tended to store more and more quinones in their outer layers, eventually giving rise to sacs and indentations where hydroquinone is able to develop, and eventually to the development of glands where hydroquinone is produced. This is the case in all carabid beetles.

Firstly, hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinones do not explode spontaneously. When the two get mixed inside the beetle, a great deal of pressure is created. This pressure pushes out the mixture at a high velocity, a muscle causes a flap to form a valve, and the mixture is oxidized by the air to become an irritant.

I would be interested as to the sources you obtained your information on the bombardier beetle from. It is my general experience that much creationist literature gives an inaccurate account of the process. Im not sure if this is due to an earlier article written before the process was actually very well understood or if its simply a misunderstanding of the process on behalf of creationists. Duane Gish for example often insists on using this argument- even though he has been pointed out as being wrong and has said himself that his confusion on the finer points of the method was due to a translation error (much of the literature that documents the bombardier beetle is written in German).

The problem we have with most of christianity is the hypocracy of the faith...we do not care one way or the other what people believe...but christians on the other hand repeatedly criticize condemn and yes assault other people cause they do do not believe as christians do...the bible is riddles with contradictions ...but christianity as a whole ignore this inconvinenence
