TEAM DEMON FOR LIFE!
http://teamdemon.ning.com

ALIEN, n. A sovereign in their probationary state.

IMMIGRANT, n. An unenlightened person who thinks one country better than another.

ANOINT, v.t. To grease a king or other great functionary already sufficiently slippery.

COMMERCE, n. A kind of transaction in which A plunders from B the goods of C, and for compensation B picks the pocket of D of money belonging to E.

FAMOUS, adj. Conspicuously miserable.

FAITH, n. Belief without evidence in what is told by one who speaks without knowledge, of things without parallel.

PRAY, v. To ask that the laws of the universe be annulled in behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy.

IMMORTALITY, n.
A toy which people cry for,
And on their knees apply for,
Dispute, contend and lie for,
And if allowed
Would be right proud
Eternally to die for.

RELIGION, n. A relative of hope and fear, explaining to ignorance the nature of the unknowable.

RESPONSIBILITY, n. A detachable burden easily shifted to the shoulders of gods, fate, fortune, luck or one's neighbor. In the days of astrology it was customary to unload it upon a star.

The most ridiculous concept ever perpetrated by H. Sapiens is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of his creations, that he can be persuaded by their prayers, and becomes petulant if he does not receive this flattery. Yet this ridiculous notion, without one real shred of evidence to bolster it, has gone on to found one of the oldest, largest and least productive industries in history. - Robert A Heinlein

Well, it's mostly my reflection and my opinion, but thanks.

I'll watch the rest later. That was mostly just the comment on the first part.

Right now, I'm creating an Xtranormal vid in response to DasAmericanAtheist. Wish I had a webcam, but this is the best I can do right now. ;)

I think the vid's portrayal is a bit inaccurate theologically speaking. Not to mention science can't comment on these issues, otherwise it ceases to be science.

Sure, they might say prayer does or doesn't work. But who would take their commentary seriously? Especially if they haven't been through these experiences themselves and are trying to use a methodology that is strictly focused on the empirical and the processes which, by our experience, explain certain natural phenomena? I think philosophy guised as "science" is a bit too far.

You can decide for yourself if I know anything about Democracy by looking at four of my last five videos which are all on the subject of Democracy. Democracy is about a lot more than voting; and if you take the time to read what real authoritarians have written about it, you might begin to understand it as the revolutionary idea it really is.

"In the time of spirits thoughts grew till they overtopped my head, whose offspring they yet were; they hovered about me and convulsed me like fever-phantasies — an awful power. The thoughts had become corporeal on their own account, were ghosts, e. g. God, Emperor, Pope, Fatherland, etc. If I destroy their corporeity, then I take them back into mine, and say: 'I alone am corporeal.' And now I take the world as what it is to me, as mine, as my property; I refer all to myself." - Johann Kaspar Schmidt aka Max Stirner
