American Gladiators returns to NBC with all new events, gladiators, and twists

First commercial for the second season of the NBC revival of American Gladiators.

Another recent commercial, featuring competition footage, of the return of the hit show; this time to network TV in primetime! Debuts Jan 6th on NBC.

Video introduces all the new Gladiators and shows clips of old favorite events: Gauntlet, Powerball, Joust, Hang Tough, The Wall and Pyramid. A Gladiator is shown being thrown into the water after losing Assault.

Two new events for the American audience are also seen.

Hit and Run, an event played in Gladiators outside the US, is where contenders must run back and forth across a suspensions bridge to earn points while four Gladiators swing 100lb demolition balls at at them.

Earthquake is a new event where Gladiator and contender fight to knock the other off a 14ft circular oscillating platform.

In June of 1999, while leaving Manhattan and traveling over the Brooklyn Bridge, I noticed that the North Tower of the bridge was lit up. I drove back into Manhattan and parked my car. I then walked onto the Bridge. A scene from the movie Stuart Little was being filmed. The scene where Stuart Little drives his little car over the Bridge. It was unique to have the bridge lit up.
