Choice 3 (x-sigma-n) is for calculating population SD when you know all of the pieces of data in the population.

Choice 4 (x-sigma-(n-1)) is for estimating the population SD when you have only a sample of that population.

Binary Counter

Using a wooden binary counter to demonstrate the binary numbers from 0 to 63 (in base 10)

Mathmo14159 Mathmo14159 commented:

A "bit" is short for "binary digit".

The number in the video is 6 bits, which allows 2^6 = 64 different values.

Adding another bit would double the number of available digits. Two more would make a "byte" (one byte = 8 bits).

Decimal digits are the 0-9 numbers that we use every day.
