You have tremendous talent in your phrasing and range, but you are not making most of your covers your own. I don't think there is any genre you couldn't do well, but it sounds as if you're at your best on songs like "complicated." I suggest you watch Janis doing the Newport festival; it's on YouTube and you can get an idea of somebody who makes everything her own from the first note. You are singing as if you have a fall back position that isn't on the stage. It doesn't have to be that way. All the best of luck to you.
