If you record with 30 fps and your video lag, there can be a lot of factors. I really can't help you this way, since I don't know your computer, your hardware setup nor your software setup.
Now I get what you meant by fps. Yes of course it affects the final value. Think about it.
You record with 60 frames per second (fps), means you got 60 "pictures" inside 1 second, or
you record with 30 frames per second, means you get 30 "pictures" inside 1 second, or
you record with 5 frames per second, means you get 5 "pictures" inside 1 second.
It affects the size of the clip as well as how "smooth" the playback is.
Could it be because I recorded with 60Fps to begin with or is it something different that Im missing?
Btw what fps do you use when you record with fraps?
Recording with Fraps, 10 min, full-size results in about 50-60 GB space. Half-Size way less.
Recording with Fraps always causes your FPS to drop because it takes a HUGE tool on your resources. There's no way around that.
PS Does the recording 'fps' (in Fraps) value affect the final results?
