"common knowledge", in the age of gobbelsian propaganda, needs a little more rigor and scrutiny, my malthusian 'friend'. I am amazed that you associate yourself with the reverend malthus so brazenly. Nailing your very bourgeois colours to the mast is at least up front, if unscientific. It does not add weight to your words however. Re "why don't you go and live there", I'll refer you to the words of Paul Robeson, who said it better than anyone, when destroying the Congressional ctte on "un-american affairs": look it up!

My Hayek videos have all so far been excerpted from the John O'Sullivan interview. Which was done in 1985.

When did the Hayek interview occur? Does anyone know?

Thomas Malthus was an Elitist, Eugenicist, f**k-pig, so was Marx, with his '20% population cull' during, the 'class war'. So any reference is in bad taste, epsecially as the new Environmentalist Nut-jobs are about to start promoting Malthus again, with the notion that, 'only depopulation can save the planet'.
But apart from that, how do you do?

thank you for answering my question on the difference between a libertarian and a conservative... yes, that makes sense.. I guess I am a conservative with libertarian leanings as in the United States I can't classify myself with the current form of conservatism, nor purely libertarian either as I am not dogmatic in my approach to these things.. the two American politicians that I admire in the the last century were Barry Goldwater and Robert Taft.. and in the 18th century, Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.. thanks again..

hmmm, hayek. I watched the recent SWP propaganda film "Shock Doctrine" (a crude rip off of Naomi Klein's book). It details the involvement of Hayek and the Chicago boys in taking over economic policies around the world. I watched a Mises Institute lecture which put Hayek in a branch of the Austrian school quite separate to Rothbard and the others. I came to suppose from this that Hayek wasn't really an Austrian. But I still know very little about the man and his economics. Will probably have to look deeper now. Great video!

Hello Malthus,

Thank you very much for taking time to write a message of gratitude and sharing your accurate view with regards to different between liberalist state and socialist welfare state i.e USA vs Norway. In my opinion, the Norwegian system of welfare state in which the central government has certain autonomy that effect every individual life could not have been better than the liberalist system of practical liberty given to fellow citizens in some part of American administration. It would not be possible for the capitalist country like USA to apply the Norwegian welfare system either. Best Regards, Robert.

Yeah i'd reply but I'm blocked from confederatesocialist for not being a libertarian. Sorry. And no I won't read a book that says that science isn't for the public good because that the title is in direct contradiction with my personal experience.

It would be like writing a book that says that the most widely spoken language in the US is french. No I wont read it because its contrary to what I can see with my own eyes

Just because you have a crotchety worldview doesn't mean everyone must view things just like you do. Consider that.
