Unfortunately most of my favorite videos have been removed due to copyright violations, and I suspect more are soon to follow.
I believe the copyright laws are unfair for a number of reasons

1. when you "release" an album, and accept money for the sale of that album, that song should now belong to buyer

2. why should entertainers be awarded millions for a studio recording that was released like 20 years ago? they should expect to earn their money entertaining live, and use the albums to promote themselves!

3. the music is overpriced as it is, a dollar a song on itunes, and your still not allowed to use it? OK, that makes a lot of sense, or should I say cents for them!

4. its the biggest scam in town, and Sonny Bono is to blame, may he RIP.

5. I think artists who don't allow fan made videos to be posted should not be allowed to have any fans, how do you like that!

	MakenWaves (2 months ago) trust me, I understand the music business, but I don't think you understand my point. I am not talking about "stealing" music, I am talking about using the music that I bought and paid for! and yes we do get to decide which laws we like to follow, and which ones we don't, study the Democratic Process and your eyes will be wide open! Selling music is a billion dollar industry, my question is, what are they selling if they hold onto all the rights? I paid for the product, but I am not allowed to use the product? you have seen my videos, I am using the music, I am not stealing it, I am not selling it, and I am not giving it away, where are my rights?
	MakenWaves (2 months ago) its pure greed! now if I were to make a record of my favorite songs, and then try to sell that record to other people for a profit for myself, then that would be wrong, or if I claimed that the music I was using is mine, that too would be wrong, but if I use a song that I bought in a recreational video of mine, and then be told the video is no longer mine is wrong.
	audioguyami (3 months ago) Copyright law is just that. Law. Artist have no control over it. Weather you agree with it or not isn't an issue. We do not have the ability to decide which laws we like to follow and which ones we do not. Artist make money by selling music. How would you like it if your employer suddenly cut your wages without warning because people were stealing product from where you work? It can cost 100,000.00 just to produce a commercial CD by the time it is said and done. There are people such as engineers, producers, graphic artist, managers, lawyers, publishers and ect that make a living off of the money the CD sells for. All of the money does not go to the artist. To tell the truth, most artist see very little of a CD sale. Study Music Business and your eyes will be widely opened...trust me.
