Okay, you know how I was able to zoom through one world per day? Not anymore. This is HALF of the sky world and I'm probably going to have to devote a video just to Baby Face, ugh.

Also, is it just me or do I sound totally fucking dopey at the beginning of this video? I'm going to start toning my voice down, making it softer and more soothing. I usually only do that when I'm nervous, but then at least I won't sound so HERP DERP anymore.

HEY GUYS, I'm going to start using annotations from now on to point out things in the video that I miss during commentary or just want to elaborate on. So if you want the ~full youtube experience,~ turn on annotations.

This LP is going to get really long, so I'm going to do something unusual and use detailed titles for quicker browsing.

Anyway, now that we've gotten the introductory stages out of the way, the game should be going a little bit faster. The nice thing about this game is that there are very few stages that feel like filler. Not just every world, but every individual stage has something about it that separates it from the others, and there are no gimmicks that feel overused or played out. You never feel like "ugh, I just have to slog through this to get to the COOL stage!" or anything.

Speaking of cool stages, oh my god you guys Fire Carnival is next. I totally love Fire Carnival.

Now for something a little bit different.

Like I mentioned on the Italy video, DC and I are having some scheduling concerns (the portal in the basement of my dilapidated mansion, through which our parallel universes make contact, is currently under repair). So I'm taking the opportunity to redo an earlier solo LP of mine, Dynamite Headdy. The retranslated version by MIJET, with extra dialogue.

This LP aims to be more informative/educational rather than haha funny, but don't worry, this game is truly a bastard at certain points. I remember it took me around 45 minutes to beat Baby Face in the original LP. Let's see how much pain I can wrangle out of it this time.

The story behind Michelangelo's Pieta: He was originally going to make it for his own tomb (the face of Joseph of Arimathea, holding Christ, is his own). During the carving, he suddenly freaked out, exclaimed that the marble was "too hard" and wasn't obeying him, and tried to smash the thing to pieces. His students stopped him, but you can still see the cracks (and one of Christ's legs is missing). Personally, I think it had to be more than just the quality of the marble. It's a very psychologically heavy thing to do, especially because Michelangelo was nearing the end of his life at this point.

Oh, video games? I'll try to do a solo LP soon because I won't be able to see DC for a while due to scheduling concerns. I-I can be entertaining without him, I swear! I've done it before! Just not on Youtube.
