Björk & Raimundo Amador live on Jools Holland 1998.
"I recorded 'So Broken' that infamous week for me, the week of the bomb. The only way for me to write a song about it was just to take the piss. I wrote it in my house hitting the table singing, 'I'm so broken (in corny, overwrought voice), olé!' I was going to have the sound of washing dishes and three kids screaming; it would be a soap opera. Then I went to the studio in Spain and met the flamenco guitarist who plays on the track and stayed there for six months recording."
Para septiembre del año 1996, Ricardo López, un joven de 21 años residente en Miami de origen uruguayo, se filma a sí mismo mientras construye una bomba de ácido sulfúrico para matarla. López se encontraba deprimido porque había enviado a Björk cartas en repetidas ocasiones, pero nunca obtenía respuesta y, además, decía en la filmación, no podía soportar que Björk saliera con un hombre de color: el músico tropical Goldie. La bomba fue enviada dentro de un libro, y en el paquete, López se hacía pasar por un ejecutivo de Elektra Records en el que le ofrecía un guión para una nueva película. Gracias al rastreo de Scotland Yard, el envío fue interceptado en las oficinas de correo de Londres justo antes de que saliera a destino.
López dejó registrado todo el proceso en más de 20 videos: desde la construcción de la bomba a la compra de un revólver calibre 38 para suicidarse y el envío del paquete. Finalmente, se afeita la cabeza y se pinta la cara de color verde y rojo para declarar ante la cámara: "Estoy obsesionado con Björk. Su relación es inaceptable". A continuación se coloca el revólver en la boca y aprieta el gatillo. Horrorizada por el acontecimiento, Björk prepara su exilio a España y se separa de Goldie.
En España, graba junto a Raimundo Amador, guitarrista flamenco, ex Pata Negra, la canción "So Broken".

Around St. Patrick's Day, Baileys Irish Cream always seems to make a comeback, so I thought it would be fun to share a homemade Irish Cream recipe with you today.
Chef Jason Hill shows you how to make Irish cream. This homemade Irish cream liqueur is great mixed into an Irish Cream Cake or served over vanilla or coffee ice cream. You can also use it to make Irish cream coffee by adding 1-2 ounces to each cup of hot brewed coffee.
This recipe came from my mom, so I hope you enjoy it!
Irish Cream
3 eggs
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 3 /4 tablespoons water
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 cup Irish whiskey such as Jamesons or Bushmills
2 caps (1/2 ounce) Brandy
1 cup whipping cream
Blend eggs, chocolate syrup, vanilla and water in a blender or whip well in a mixer. Add condensed milk, whiskey and brandy by blending in blender quickly. Blend in unwhipped cream, just blending. Do not overmix.
Refrigerate 24 hours. This allows the flavors to meld and helps the alcohol "cook" the egg.
This Irish cream liqueur will keep about 2 months in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
