Max Richter was born 1980 in Gießen, Germany. In the age of 8 he began learning the guitar with his teacher Michael Simon. In the years 2000-2005 he was studying with Prof. Michael Teuchert on the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main. After that he continued his studies in Barcelona 2005-2006, where he studied with Prof. Àlex Garrobé. From 2006-2008 he completed his studies with Prof. Carlo Marchione in Maastricht (Netherlands).
