To summarize: The local CBS news channel reported on a grade-fixing scandal at Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles. This was huge news at the time and traumatic for everyone involved. When this story broke, many parents pulled their children from the school. Things were never quite the same for those who remained at the Lycée. They lost many friends and their respect for their school and uniform.

Just kidding about the uniform, the students hated them before the scandal...

The school eventually recovered some of its prestige and students continued to go on to prestigious universities (and USC). (less info)
