My entry for Akross 2008 which took me (again) 2 weeks to complete. I should stop making these 2 week videos and get serious with a big one in which I'm already working on with 2009 Fall/Winter as its estimate release date. So after this, I guess I won't be uploading amv's for while for my next video. So with that, Here's my note on this video.
I feel pedofilish for having a crush on David Achuletta. The kid is too young!!! Do I like the song.... as a one hit wonder.. yes! although the kid has potential to hit a higher level in mainstream pop, lets just hope he won't be taking off shirts as he progresses just to get some attention.
As for he video, there's again no story. Its no masterpiece of mine since the editing is identical to Mainstream Love, which pretty much shows my laziness to come up with something original. I just basically put together a bunch of sweet scenarios from various anime's and made it seem romantic by colour and style.
The video premiered for russian audiences online and I found their reviews to be on the side of raw humour. Scenes with Archuleta remarkly labelled him as "The Boy" or "The Kid" which led to making the video unappealing by including an unattractive live figure. Another major critique was the use of KH. Probably for the fact that KH is soo overused for AMVs already... I don't know.
The video was originally dedicated to someone, but somehow the message delivered by the song wasn't completely present on the video.. sigh.. perhaps someday I'll come up with something more dynamic and emotional.
Scenes from the video are all copyrighted by its original sources Toei, Squareenix, Bandai, Namco, 19 Entertainment, LLC. and Minori, Gainax, Warner Music. effects and overall colaboration, vellure credits

Program used:
Adobe After Effects 7.0
Update (032208): I had a feeling this wasn't going to win AnimeBoston 2008 since the introduction was cut and the fact that it was judged by ballot, the combination of anime, Xenosaga, Jpop, and Madonna did not appeal to most viewers, but oh well.
This was originally planned to be an Independent sourced AMV with limited sources specifically Xenosaga, Okami, and Dragonball. But thanks to the concept of visual effects used in Magic Pad by Nostromo, I was inspired to create a whole new composition with Anime sources intact. The short version only runs for 2:45 while the original version goes up to 5:25 including intro and ending themes. I'm not sure when I'm gonna post the long version. I'm just gonna wait and see if people would be interested in seeing more of this AMV.
Fun Tip: Its fun holding the streaming button down and scrolling it forward and back to see various skips/clips of the amv. That's were you experience the "Rainbow revolution"

Title: Blend Track: Come Artist: Namie Amuro Sources: FF, KH, a bit of Chrono Crusade, Xenosaga Program used: Adobe After Effects v.7
I would like to refer this AMV as an "Impulse" Video by which I mean instantly given priority over big projects with no further research on the song itself.
Being my first Square tribute and AMV, this originally was drafted and titled "Drowned World" using the Drowned world remix of Frozen by Madonna. But after watching a random episode of Inuyasha (which I'm not really fond of), DW was cut out of my list (or postponed) and this was to substitute for my editing space.
Being one of the 2 "Impulse" videos I'm going to be releasing, this was done in less than a week seeing there are only a few effects used to blend with sound and video. But just by listening to "Come" I don't think you really do need to exaggerate effects to make it special. FF scenes would take care of that. BTW this is the last AMV I'll be doing with my retro old 350mb RAM PC, I'm MOVING ON.
There's still a bit of Xenosaga put into this video but seeing it only incorporates one scene from the series, this video is more like a day off from my fascination of Xenosaga and expressed by having Shion just working on the title of the video and watching the FF tribute unfold.

Oh herro der!
Ok for those who don't know, this is a completely re-visioned version of what once was an embarrassing lump of mass I dared call a video.
Original (well, part): http://www.youtub...
I had started making it waaay back, maybe about 2 years ago even. But... the original plot was just basically, 'RE characters chilling at home.... and falling in love.' It was kind of retarded, and at the time was far to similar to the basic line of RE: Numa. ie, couples and crap.
This time I decided to take it to a new level, and for a few different reasons too. One being the obvious; the original idea kinda sucked and had no good material for me to work with. But also, as you might notice, this is pretty much strictly RE0 through RE:CV. In a way, this isn't just a video about fictional characters being in love, but my own personal love for what Resident Evil used to be. I really hope this encourages newfa--- ahem, new players of the RE series into playing the older games because... they're just better. I mean damn. People are probably really missing out in a few areas.
So call me a walking advertisement, but kids, you can get at least RE0, RE1 REmake, RE2 and RE3 Nemesis for the Gamecube. Even if RE2 and RE3 are a little pricy, just buy them. Seriously. Throw away your shitty RE4 and RE5 discs out the motherfuckin' window and go buy all I just mentioned. And if you can, get the original RE1 too, and of course Code Veronica.
Ok enough of that. Dunno if peeps will dig this video or not. I know towards the end it gets more barfcuteworthy rather then funny, but like I said, this is my own personal nostalgia of the RE games, and hopefully for a few others too. Especially the credits, hell that's probably my favorite part.
And of course, thanks to everyone who's been giving me and Jack many congratulations and good wishes to our upcoming marriage, the 15th is the big day, and even more parties to follow after. In a way as well, this video is a big ol thanks for all the support from everyone in that department.
**Edit** I know Rebecca is 18, thus being legal, but I just thought their age difference was kinda funny. Plus, Billy doesn't know what he's getting himself into, he always calls her 'little girl' anyways XD
And if you don't understand who's voice is at the easter egg, or where it's from, I suggest you play the original Resident Evil, as said above anyways.
