I have been described as excessively Platonic, which I suppose is a fairly accurate description of me right now, and can be taken with all its positive and negative connotations. It's not that I'm against being pragmatic, or that I actually believe in a literal Platonic World of Forms (which I tend to think of as the "Hylaean Theoric World" thanks to Neal Stephenson), it's really just that I think people sometimes need to look beyond what they actually see. Politically, I tend to identify more with what politicos typically call "right-wing politics" in the U.S.A., although I try to be as non-political as is reasonable, and indeed, I would probably be described as a Libertarian in our present-day environment, even though I tend to dislike the money-loving, Ayn Randian, anarcho-leftist connotations that that word projects, and would probably describe myself as ideally anarchist, although in an everyday practical sense I'm usually quite comfortable with minarchism. I like computers, computer electronics, and true wisdom. Sometimes.
