I was hired to create an cinematic opener for a local digital 2k projection movie theater.
Budget was extremely low and had to be turned around in 24 hours.
So I pulled some RED ONE stock footage I had composed the little score and ran in through a subharmonic synthesizer to create the familiar big boomy movie theater bass feel.
All the footage was shot at 2k. Some of it is 120fps for the slow motion epic feel.
Side note*
Neat little things continuity junkies will notice.
The control panel isn't to a project but rather a wood carving CNC machine.
Although I intentionally wanted to show physical celluloid in the piece as a mental association to what people traditionally think of when they think cinema. It's actually 8mm projectors & film what you would find for home movie use not the 35mm stock traditional movie theaters use. (less info)
