Korean Christianity is the very nucleus of evil in Korean society. Many Korean Christians, esp. ministers, have commited almost all kinds of anti-social behaviour and crimes, including peculation, prevention fire, sexual harassment, rape and murder. It shoud be reborn. Otherwise, it should be exterminated from this planet permanently.

Some non-Christian Koreans, as well as some non-Korean Christians, criticize that many Korean Christian churches are run like business or even cult groups. Some church leaders also have been criticized for moral issues. There have been cases that some Christian leaders in Korea have allegedly had extramarital affairs with members of their churches.

For example, one such highly publicized incident occurred on 1 December 2003, when Rev. Jang Hyo-Hee (장효희), the leader of the Christian Council of Korea (한국기독교총연합회), Korea's largest Christian organization, jumped to his death from an office block when the husband of a woman with whom Rev. Jang was allegedly having an affair was trying to enter the room where they had been together. There also have been cases of large church leaders passing on the leadership of their churches to their sons, which is considered inappropriate by many Christians.

Among the worse cases, Kim Hong-Do (김홍도), Chief Pastor of Kumran Church at Mangwoo-dong, Seoul, was indicted on charges of fraud and embezzlement (3.2 billion won) on 28 April 2006. He is trying to transfer leadership of his church to his son, who currently serves as Associate.

There have also been damages made by some extreme fundamentalists on Buddhist temples, such as damages on Buddhist statues, and there are reported cases that some Christian army officers forcing their subordinates to attend religious services on base whether or not they are Christian. 김홍도(1938년 ~ )는 대한민국의 목회자이다.

감리교신학대학교를 졸업했으며, 1967년부터 1971년까지 광희문교회 부담임 목사를 지냈으며, 1971년에 금란교회를 세워 현재까지 담임목사로 있다.

2005년, 서남아시아에서 지진 해일이 일어나 많은 사람들이 희생되자, 1월 12일, "서남아시아 쓰나미에서 희생된 사람들은 하나님의 심판"이라는 발언을 해 많은 비난을 받았다.

2006년 4월에는 교회 돈 31여억원을 횡령한 혐의에 대해 대법원에서 유죄확정판결이 내려졌다.

*** 장효희 목사 (위키백과) ***

장효희(1948년 ~ 2003년 12월 2일)는 대한민국의 목회자이다.

충청남도 논산시 출신으로 기독신학교 신학과와 천안대학교(백석대학교) 기독신학대학원을 졸업하고 연세대학교 연합신학대학원을 거쳐 미국 샌디에이고 린다베스타 신학대학원에서 목회학 박사, 캘리포니아 신학대학원에서 철학박사 학위를 취득했다.

1981년 인천광역시 부평구 일신동에 3명의 신도로 평화교회를 개척하였고, 1997년 그 자리에 교회를 개축하여 담임목사로 활동하였으며, 장로교 합동정통 총회장, 장로교 총연합회 대표회장, 인천기독교총연합회 회장, 한국기독교총연합회 공동회장, 린나이코리아 사랑운동협의회 대표회장을 역임했다.

2003년 12월 2일 사망했다. 고인이 담임으로 있던 평화교회는 사망원인을 과로사라고 발표했지만, 인천광역시 계양구 계산동에 있는 힌 오피스텔 9층에서 기혼 여신도와 간통을 하던 중, 신도의 남편이 경찰과 함께 현장을 급습하기 위해 문을 두들기며 들이닥치자 몸을 숨기려 베란다에 있는 에어컨에 10분간 매달리다 30미터 아래로 추락사한 것으로 다음날 밝혀졌다. 네티즌들은 그 사건을 두고 장효희에게 '에어장'이라는 별명을 붙였다.

사건 이후 여신도는 간통죄로 기소되었으며, 신도 남편의 가족들과 평화교회와의 갈등은 계속되고 있다.
