Nevermind getting high; however 'hemp' was origionally villified cause it was poised to put the paper mill business in bankrupt. So William Hearst [a lumber pioneer who owned hundred acres of forrest] villified it. Oddly enough the USA still will through you in jail for having ultra low thc hemp seeds, but it is one of the biggest importers. Go figure.
